Congrats to Corbin, a very even game that saw the lead swing between the 2 teams all night. This game could have been won by either team but the prize goes to Corbels n this round. Good experience for the Cards who have some things they can take away from this to work on to get better. Our one DB got tour he'd for 2 tds we have got to get that fixed. Our young qb had some growing pains tonight that he can learn from. Time to get back to work and see what we can do in the playoffs. Congrats Corbin

I think Corbin will be a stern test for MF but I don't find any merit in thinking they will fade down the stretch. Fade is not a word I can recall every being used before when talking MF Football. The Corbin game will tell us all a lot, especially with Corbin coming off a week off with time to correct the things that went wrong at BW

Beechwood's game plan for their V over Corbin was simple, they took what Corbin gave them. In the first half Corbin had 6 DB's so BW just went short then in the 2nd half Corbin switched up to stop the short stuff and BW just threw right over the top. Mayfield has similar weapons and could do the same though I doubt Corbin will take the same approach and learn from their mistakes. Having watched Corbin on film, I like the Cards chances alot

I said in the preseason that I think DeSales is #1 with what they return and I still think it is the case but the Ads are a solid #1

Did not see that one coming, in fact I had little respect for NCC being a serious contender but like these monuments I should have looked at history and not forgot the past. NCC now has a prominent spot at the head table

Radio said crowd was around 8,000 and I think they were pretty close. Huge thanks to the Mayfield Fire Department for bringing the ladder truck and hanging that King Kong sized American flag from it. I wish I had taken a picture of it, that was awesome!!!!

Morris coaches show comments echoed his post game comments in that we simply got tired on defense in the second half and took a pounding from the large and physical Eagles. Several were cramping up after having had much cooler weather recently and facing a team that he said only had 1 lineman going both ways. The Eagle D also appeared to have suffered the same fate being worn down. The game was essentially a 3 TD Cards win and should have been about what it was. Graves this year is a pretty good team. Morris also mentioned that we have started strong the last 2 games with chances to throw knock out blows and did not put Graves or McCracken away when we had the chance. We need to learn to finish or it will eventually catch us. We are banged up some, Halliburton still has that nagging ankle and Harrison has a nagging ham. We could use some R & R forsure but it will have to wait as a fresh Corbin awaits to tell us more about this team

Big Tiger the CC D is excellent, its the O that makes me think Graves might win, though either could win in my opinion. Keep in mind that most of us Cards fans have only seen part of 1 game. We do see the CC scores and I still think that until they figure out how to get the O going they are vulnerable. I think they will get their O going at some point and then look out.
