The City is also putting in a bus spot near the visiting bench for the visiting bus to park at and not take up parking in the lot.

The Mustangs and Lady 'Stangs got out the broom tonight to make it a clean sweep at the 37th District Tournaments at Scott High School. The Lady 'Stangs shutout Campbell County in a shootout for their second win over the Lady Camels this year 1-0 and the Mustangs ran...their impressive season record to 21-1-1 by defeating the Scott Eagles 3-2. The two wins by Brossart enable both teams to earn a bye in next weeks 10th Region Tourney. The girls will play Wednesday at Scott while the boys will play Thursday at Harrison County. Coach Brad Gough's Lady 'Stangs are now 15-5-1 and have outscored opponents 68-11 on the season. They have won 11 of their last 12 games falling only on the road to Notre Dame Academy 2-0. The Mustangs of Coach Brian Goller The Mustangs have outscored opponents 76-13 and have won 15 games with just a tie with Boone Co. in their last 16 outings. Last year when Highlands beat Bishop Brossart 3-2 in the Championship.

The varsity Uncle Pete Noll Tourney and the JV Tourney will be at Softball City. We need more than one field for a tournament and we also didn't want to take up to much parking at the field to detract from others using the park for other activities.

Bishop Brossart recently completed a deal with the City of Alexandria to play it's Fast Pitch Softball games at Alexandria City Park. The Lady 'Stangs have played in recent years at Pendery Park. Bishop Brossart will do a lot of renovations to the existing field including adding block dugouts, extending sideline fences, refurbishing the existing bleachers, a wall and padding behind the catcher and erecting an outfield fence. The city recently replaced the front field with a new parking area and plan to add a place for the visiting team bus. The goal is to make it a nice addition to the park for not only the fast pitch team but a win win situation for all the people of Alexandria, Ky. "We certainly want to express our appreication to Mayor Cachford and the Alexandria City Commission for their unanimous support and cooperation on this project," exclaimed Athletic Director Mel Webster. "It will be closer for our players from a safety standpoint and also allow them to get home earlier for academics. In addition it will finally give us a home field," pointed out Brossart Head Coach Tom Baynum. The BBHS high school season runs from February 15 to June 1 as far as possible home games. Last week a crew removed the old dugouts and will start next week with the new dugouts and finish most of the project this fall. :ylsuper:

Your the one getting worked up not me. I'm a positive person. I have been at every football game but one and that was when I was at the volleyball state tournament. I comment positively on the positive things that happen at BBHS. The Brossart Athletic Community is a very positive and successful place to be. We chose not to dwell on the bad things. Go Mustangs!

The Mustangs of Bishop Brossart dominated the Camels of Campbell County 5-1 in winning the opening game of the 37th District Tournament at Scott High School. The Mustangs are now 20-1-1 on the season with their only loss coming to St. Henry in the All "A" Championship game and the tie to Ryle late in the season. Congratulations to Coach Goller. The Mustangs will play in the Championship game at Scott on Thursday evening at about 8 PM following the Bishop Brossart - Campbell Co. It was previosuly posted. Notre Dame is a very good team they won 2-0. The nice thing is NCC, Highlands and our former District mates have to play them now. We don't since we are in the 10th Region. Redistricting rocks hehe!

Lady "Stangs Varsity Soccer qualify for their first ever 10th Region Tournament crushing Calvary Christian 10-0 in a shortend game Monday Night at Scott. They led 7-0 at the half. They will play arch rival Campbell Co. Thursday evening. They defeated Campbell Co. 2-1 earlier in the season. Bishop Brossart is now 15-5-1 and owns the top record in the 10th Region. They still have only given up 11 goals in 21 games all season. Congrats to the Lady "stangs!!

I find it very hard to believe that there are more volleyball teams in kentucky than basketball. I will chekc that and report back tomorrow. Who in the world is AVCA? Maybe I'll start the BGHMA The Big Green Horse Media Relations then everything I say will be right!:thumb:

In 2013 a statewide soccer tournament will be instituted and fully supported by the organization. The statewide soccer tournament will use the same format as all other statewide athletic events and regions will reflect the current alignment. There will be a regional tournament in all 16 regions followed by a one-game sectional playoff to determine the 8 boys’ and 8 girls’ teams which will advance to the statewide tournament. The statewide tournament will be conducted over a two-day period with the quarterfinals and semifinals played on the first day at two venues. The second day will feature the girls’ and boys’ championship matches at the same venue. The 2013 statewide event will be conducted on September 28 and September 29 at a site yet to be determined. Ther delegate assembly can solve this issue by prohibiting All athletes from playing on outside teams from the first day of school til the final day of school. Currently only football and basketball players have this restriction.

Obviously Lawnboy is exhausted doing the lawn so the real top five should be this year. Don't forget NCC lost their best player, Ron Dawn. Brtossart retruns it's entire coaching staff plus added another excellent coach who was an assistant at the University of Louisville. St. Joe's big girl Sowkowski went to Notre Dame Academy. Several, including Amanda Lloyd went to Brossart. It depends on several factors. :idunno:

Shamrock should have a winner at Notre Dame this year. They should battle Ryle and Conner for the top spot all year. :thumb:

You guys are talking about a young freshman, Shackelford, that won over 20 games. She worked hard over the summer and got some special assistance from Alicia Miller adding speed. I think you'll see a much improved team that returns 19 of 21 players back from a team that won 26 games, the 37th District Championship, the Whitley Co. Tournament Championship, finished Second in the NKAC and has some excellent young talent.

Brossart clinches District Number 1 Seed with a win now over Calvary Christian. They are now 14-1 and assuming they win they will open 37th District play against Campbell County the 4th Seed. Scott will play Calvary. Brossart girls ave Sed will play Calvary while Campbell will play Scott. All games at Scott.

It has to change. Far too many ties, low scoring games. American fans like offense. Just go to shootout and maybe shorten games to two 15 minute halves to make up the time. Shootouts are exciting and will be good practice. Tradition bows to progress. I doubt we will get offsides eliminated. It might create civil war in some other countries. State just needs to step up and mandate all varsity games end. :thumb:
