Could someone please rank the NKY catholic schools for me. I know NDA is probably a unanimous 1st, but how do they shake up after that?

A lot of questions about NCC heading into this season . . . while Brossart is rising fast. St. henry lost a lot to graduation.

True, they will not have one senior on this team, however they have a "boat load" of talent.

They do have a lot in the pipeline and Kiernan is a difference maker. She will carry them this year until some of the youger talent gets some seasoning. But with the depth of talent they have (I know they are young) I wouldn't consider them "down". Just reloading. They will be an interesting team to keep an eye on.

I don't know about the NCC boatload pipeline of talent. Seems like Brossart has just as much coming in/up. I think the questions about NCC revolve around the coach and the system deployed.

Brossart should be tough this year. No senior on last year's team so everyone comes back. Freshman class is loaded with talent including girls from St. Mary who won back to back Diocesean championships in 7th and 8th grade. Future looks bright for the Lady Mustangs.

Point guard from that St. Mary's team went to NewCath and was a key player. Shanon and King are really good players who went to Brossart. Brossart gets another good post player from St. Philips in Schultz. Solid freshman class. Davenport is a really good player and will help NewCath. Good point guards are hard to find. The pipeline for NewCath is solid. They have several girls from the St. Joe's 7th grade (now 8th graders) who won the Diocesean championship going to NewCath. Several other girls from St. Therese, Holy Trinity, St. Catherine and St. Thomas will help. Pipeline, serious? Where is Brossarts pipeline? St. Mary's had one really good class and Tom did a great job coaching them!

It was at St. Joe's Cold Spring 2 years ago, but good question.

Just curious. We were heading out to that area for 4 years in a row for the tourney, both boys and girls. Just wondering why it never switches to other schools or even counties in the Diocese. :idunno:

Pipline to NewCath seems to run through St. Joe's, sorry Brossart you will need to have the younger players come to your high school Freshman practices from out of your feeder schools to showcase what you have and where you feel they will fit. 8th grader from St. Joe's attended NewCath freshman practices last year and guess where they go this year? Come on Mustangs claim your players so we Camels can enjoy a solid rivalry for years to come.

If I'm not mistaken, Joe Heil (St. Joe's/Brossart guy) took the reins to get the Diocesean championship going again years ago and runs it so he naturally brings the games to the schools he supports.
