Touchstone Energy Group To Take Over All "A" Soccer

On September 29, 2012 the Touchstone Energy All “A” Classic Board of Directors unanimously voted to add soccer as a sanctioned sport of the organization. In 2013 a statewide soccer tournament will be instituted and fully supported by the organization.

 

The statewide soccer tournament will use the same format as all other statewide athletic events and regions will reflect the current alignment. There will be a regional tournament in all 16 regions followed by a one-game sectional playoff to determine the 8 boys’ and 8 girls’ teams which will advance to the statewide tournament.

 

The statewide tournament will be conducted over a two-day period with the quarterfinals and semifinals played on the first day at two venues. The second day will feature the girls’ and boys’ championship matches at the same venue. The 2013 statewide event will be conducted on September 28 and September 29 at a site yet to be determined.
