McNeil had another 20 pt game combined with Hargetts 20 pts. Nice win after an intense Friday night loss to SK.

Some are and some are not !! I believe it helps if you have played HS or college. Second nature calls come more instinctive.

Again.... Trame had an excellent game plan. Holding Chambers to 0 points is tough to do. Like both games SK finished down the stretch and Walton did not. McNeil was the best all around player on the floor.

Simon (Chambers) is certainly playing better. This was certainly obvious in the Boone game as he scored nearly half (27) of their points. Walton stops Chambers and wins in an epic battle.:popcorn:

I ran into him this past Saturday and he is every bit of 6' 1".

Walton was without McNeil vs Owen. McNeil would have made a big difference!

Over in the 8th Region it's a 3 team race between Walton, Gallatin County and Owen County. Walton plays Gallatin in the first round and the winner plays Owen.

That was Walton's 8th grade team..... they are playing in Turkeyfoot's 8th grade tournament Thursday. Coming in top 4 in a freshman tournament was a good showing for that team.

It was Louisville Moore's second best player. I don't remember his name but it was a big loss for that team.

The 8th Region is wide open !!!! There are 8 to 10 teams that could get hot and win the region.

I would put Zach McNeil from Walton Verona in the 10 top 8th Region players.

I did not take that into account. I did see where Spencer beat Lloyd by 40 or 50 points.

With a 3rd of the season over I would rank the teams in this order: This region is wide open !!!! 1. Spencer County 2. Oldham County 3. Simon Kenton 4. South Oldham 5. North Oldham 6. Owen County 7. Gallatin County 8. Collins 9. Anderson County 10. Walton Verona

Walton won't have McNeil and Moeves they both play varsity. I would like to see them matchup against Brossart. Brossart may be deep but McNeil is the second best freshman in the area (Hatton). He's playing great at the varsity level this year.

Tournament actually starts on Sunday, December 26. Opening round schedule is as follows: 2:00pm Walton v Beechwood; 3:20pm Dixie v Brossart; 4:40pm Scott v NCC; 6:00pm Villa v St. Henry. Winners advance to Round two to play Holy Cross, Campbell Co., Boone Co., and Simon Kenton

If that happens he will fit in nicely next year with 2 other WV freshman guards currently playing varsity.

How did Daniel Helton do for Calvary Christian? He is a decent freshman that doesn't get talked about.

McNeil would have made a big difference in this game.....another big scoring threat and taking care of the basketball. Collectively to many turnovers by WV's guards in critical posessions.

McNeil played very well the first 2 quarters then seemed to be tired towards the 4th. At times he was the best player on the floor. WV and SK are going to have some epic battles for the next 4 years.

I'd like to see the rebounding stats...seemed to me WV out rebounded SK

Played at Walton. McNeil is playing very well !!!! I believe he is the leading scorer on the varsity.

SK Frosh did beat Walton by 3 yesterday... Walton's Frosh team this year is made up of 8th grade players only.
