Just like the 1st game Walton lead late (by 5 with 2:45 left). Missed two front ends of 1 and 1 in the last two minutes. Simon capitalized and executed down the stretch. Great game to watch. McNeil was outstanding again.

SK's press gave Walton some trouble early and late in the game. McNeil couldn't be stopped in the first half. Sullivan and Brockman both being out obviously hurt Walton, different outcome if both or either of them play.

Again.... Trame had an excellent game plan. Holding Chambers to 0 points is tough to do. Like both games SK finished down the stretch and Walton did not. McNeil was the best all around player on the floor.

Maybe, but you have a good point. The one thing that I was most impressed with was Walton's defense on Chambers. I thought Lynn and Moeves both did an excellent job guarding him.

 

It is always fun to watch a good competitive game in front of a packed house.

That was on Simon Kenton home court. Walton's bench was not as deep without those two starters in the lineup.

So your telling me with 2 of WV's 3 best players out they don't make up a 5 point deficit? Im not taking anything away from SK, Sampson can shoot the lights out and the press really hurt Walton, but if they both play Walton wins this game. No doubt about it.

Yes Owen is correct. Walton plays Gallatin and the winner plays Owen.

Brockman is the teams best defender.. If they blanked him withouit Brockman I doubt he would do a whole lot more if he had played. Once again, SK did win the game and I'm not trying to take anything away from that fact, I just think the outcome would have been different if Sullivan and Brockman played. But a win is a win and congrats to SK.

Brockman appeared to have a cast on his arm and Sullivan, from what I know, was out for a team violation.
