  1. WV lost this game at the free throw line and a 5 minute period in the 3rd quarter of turnovers and no points. McGovney is the best player WV has played against this year. I know Hatton is a good player but McGovney was very efficent vs WV. He didn't miss a free throw and probably shot 80% from the floor. Very Nice player.
  2. NeerFan, I really appreciate your objective opinion. WV does have enough talent to beat quality teams such as SK and NCC. When we play hard we compete vs good teams. Small mistakes the whole game is what I see. A turn over, miss free throw, a blown layup.... through the course of a game can make the difference in a win or loss. We only have 1 senior... it could be our overall youth.
  3. McNeil played well but Hargett was the best player on the floor. WV went 9 for 19 from the line. That was the difference in the game.
  4. Brenden Stanley-- Boone - Starts JV and plays varsity Alex Brownell-- Ryle Brett Mayberry-- Boone Austin Schreck-- Dixie - Plays JV Carson Bennett-- SK Laine Harrett-- Highlands Grant Moeves-- Walton - Starts JV Bo Schuh-- CovCath Drew McDonald-- NCC- Starts Varsity Andrew Hedger-- Dixie Matt Mullins-- SK James Bolden-- Holmes Conner Kunstek-- St. Henry Luke Marksberry-- Ryle Jon Liechty-- Cooper Nic Watts-- Conner- Starts JV Evan Lyons-- CovCath Noah Galvin-- CovCath Kenny Potter-- Holmes Brayden Andersen-- SK Kyle Doughtery-- Walton - Starts JV and plays varsity John Eblin-- Campbell County Connor Brock-- Campbell County Blake Losey-- Campbell County - Starts JV Nick Niehaus - Dixie - Starts JV and plays varsity Noah Robinson -SK- Starts JV and plays varsity Updated the list with what I have knowledge of to date.
  5. Noah Robinson from Simon Kenton...starts JV and plays varsity minutes...not playing Freshman. Great length and court vision...good passer and great kid.
  6. I would go with .... Bolden or Robinson (6'4") at 1 Stanley, Moeves, Pangallo at 2 Schuh (6'4") at 3 McDonald (6'4") at 5 Kunstek (6'3") at 4 Off Bench Potter Covington Hathorn ***** This team could compete at the AAU level*****
  7. Mcneil was out of it in this game. He shot 2 for 12. Too many unforced mistakes and WV is not sharing the basketball. It's early... hopefully they will fix the offense by the All A.
  8. It's hard to beat GC on their floor with John Jones coaching. Morgan is very hard to guard because he can shoot and attack as good as anyone.
  9. GC wins this game. Morgan is harder to guard than Chambers.
  10. Game is at Cooper at 7:30 pm. Should be a good game.
  11. If you are following the rules and want to move to a new school district. I don't see a problem with it. It happens... kids don't like a coach, or style of play or competitive issues.
  12. Senior Dustin Cottrell decided to join the team this week. He's probably the strongest player on the team and pretty athletic. Should help with depth on this team.
  13. Holmes is my pick for top spot in the 9th. Walton scrimmaged Holmes and Dixie. Holmes was by far a more complete team. It's preseason but I was impressed with Holmes. Dixie will miss Pike.
  14. Walton lost the first half by 5 and won the second half by 4. McNeil did not score in the first half. Hargett played well.
  15. We will see if SK can win back the district. SK will have to shoot well and guard hard to be competitive. Walton has the combination of good guards and strong forwards. Should be very close between SK and WV.
  16. After 2 quarters of play Holmes won by 13. They are going to be better than ranked. The pressure is amazing. Walton didn't have their leading scorer and best guard for the first quarter (McNeil). They were also missing another 6'5" transfer. Holmes would have still dictated the pace of that game and won.
  17. Hatton obviously, is the best of this class. Hemmerich from Conner can really shoot it. Barker from Conner. McNeil from Walton. Helton from Walton. Burns from Brossart. Jalen Avery from Holy Cross. Verst from Brossart. Moeves from Walton. I'm sure I missed a few.
  18. I'm going to have to agree. Walton is not a factory. Small schools have ups and downs with talent. Gallatin has had a pretty long run of very good talent combined with a great coach. Walton's talent has been rising steadily the last few years. The next 4 to 5 years they should be competitive with anyone.
  19. Grant County will have some tough matchups this season with A schools. Owen, Gallatin and Walton will be strong and very competitive.
  20. Jalen's a good player and a great kid. Don't know how things got so disjointed at GC but the kid wants to play his senior year. I don't blame the kid for wanting to play his senior year for GC or any other school.
  21. If Cole Moser (6'6")(300 lbs)can produce at the 5 this team can be really tough.
