Not at all. To Calvary's credit they actually made the Mustangs keep the first unit in for the entire game, with the exception of the final seconds of the game.

Brossart was never in synch in the first half, managing but a 14-10 lead at halftime in an all-ugly fest.

 

Mustangs play a more Brossart-like half in the third and fouth periods, putting up a pair of 19 point periods. Travis Norton scored 13 of his 18 points in the second half, and Justin Saunders scored 12 of his team-high 19 points in same timeframe.

 

Calvary Christian Senior Tucker Glass carried his team through the second half, scoring 18 of his game-high 20 points in the latter two periods.

Yes - Eric Rieger is a Freshman going to play JV when he gets healthy. Eric is currently experiencing some shoulder problems but hopes to be back on the court in the next few weeks.

Helton was impressive in the JV game, led his team with 10 or 12 (out of 19) points.

 

Could have probably played and contributed in the varsity game, but did not dress.

 

Rumor has it he is heading to Highlands, which might explain why he didn't play in the varsity game.

I've since been informed that Helton is destined to Walton-Verona for next season.

If that happens he will fit in nicely next year with 2 other WV freshman guards currently playing varsity.
