This game was fun to watch last year. I'll take Holmes because of their defense. Rico is showing why he is a Mr. Basketball candidate right now.

Beechwood has owned DIII for the past two years and I see this going the Tigers way.

This should be a pretty big game for both schools. Give me your thoughts on the game?

The Tigers really missed Kyle "Meat" Daniels. He gives the Tigers size and muscle to matchup with Thelen and Wellbrock. He could give them an answer in the rebounding question and leadership. I'm not saying he would shut down Thelen, but he would have been a better matchup.

Holmes will control this game and win easily. I feel like the score won't show how much of a blowout it will be. Pittman will give Thelen fits I believe and Holmes will dominate CCH guards.

Crowd gave CJ some love, but he didn't play very hard. John Wall yelled at him to try at halftime.

Like I said the key was stopping Thelen and the big man seems to be to much of a matchup problem for the Tigers. Tough loss but I think this will be the 2vs3 seed matchup in the District.

I believe thats two years in a row the Beechwood vs CCH game was the same day.

Both teams last year could score better than the teams this season. Thelen and Pohlgeers will have to carry the load for their teams. I think the key factors for Beechwood are Cruse containing Thelen(only letting him have 10 to 12), controlling the defensive glass, and the young Tigers not being overwhelmed by the crowd.

I bet the score is closer to 90. I'll take Villa in a bounce back win 90-87. Schue hits a three with 4.7 seconds.

Beechwood is riding a 2 game win streak vs CCH. I would think Beechwood is going to sit in a tight zone and try to make the guards beat them.

Was this before or after the Eastern loss?

Big question is who will guard Thelen?

Sorrell was a lot better than Jolly. Sorrell was almost unguardable by anyone not named Arrez. I wish the kid the best though.

Your putting Jolly on the same level as Sorrell and Faulkner. He is a good player, but I was questioning if he would be able to play D3 basketball. That being said congrats and good luck.

I'm shocked, saw him play and I don't know how he is D2. Not taking anything away from the kid, good player, but he isn't very strong.

I don't think Speed was a top 10 player in the region last year. Still a good player though.

Thelen is a 20 point machine, I don't know what I'd feel more comfortable betting on, Thelen getting 20 or Welbrock getting 10 rebounds.

I wouldn't take the Tigers by that much, Villa always seems to play harder when the play Beechwood. They always seem to keep it close, remember they were the only team in D3 last season to come within 20 of the Tigers and I would say that last years team for Beechwood was better than this one.
