Holmes/Christian County Predictions (1/16)

Featured Replies

Both teams travel to Montgomery Co Saturday night for a 6:30 tip in the Joe B. Hall Kentucky Preps Classic.

Rematch of last year's first round sweet 16 game in which Holmes won 72-61.

Thoughts?

I'll take Holmes in a close one. Should be great game!

Is Christian County healthy? If so then they will give the Dogs fits.

This is what I want to know too. With Wilson out during the AIT Christian Co was beaten by Mason Co and East Carter. If he is out Holmes by alot.

Holmes by 10

Christian Co is going to struggle to rebound with the bigger Holmes team. I can see CC's quickness with Lewis and Hickey giving Holmes some fits though.

Hickey had a nice game last year and Kates did well down low against Pittman.

In the end I think Holmes defense will be the difference. Christian Co will try to get out and run like last year and Holmes will make it a half court game which CC has traditionally struggled with.

Holmes- 63

Christian Co- 54

I know this may sound foolish, considering that Holmes has not lost many games over the past two years, and when they do it is usually a very close game.

However in this game I am predicting a big win for Christian Co.

Wilson will be too much, and Christian will win fairly easy (10 points).

I might agree with you but considering Ricardo Johnson will be on Wilson and absolutely dominated him last year with 15 pts and 11 rbs, I doubt Wilson will be the deciding factor in this game. He was held to just 7 points last year and really struggled with Holmes pressure. Wilson is also coming off an injury. He suffered a concussion a few weeks ago.

I wouldn't be surprised to see CC win but it will be because of their style of play, not one player. If they can dictate the pace like Ballard did against Holmes, I can definetly see them knocking the Dogs off. Their press was very effective last year.

Holmes by 7. Ricardo is really on his game right now, and the rest of the team is responding well to his leadership and also playing some good basketall.

Holmes by a dozen.

This game was fun to watch last year. I'll take Holmes because of their defense. Rico is showing why he is a Mr. Basketball candidate right now.

Does anyone know is Wilson will play? I know he suffered a concussion a few weeks ago, but not sure if he had been cleared to play yet.

He is playing the type of ball that I expected from day one. If they ever get all 3 of the horses rolling at once watch out. Elijah and JJ have had there moments this year where they have been exceptional as well. But if they all three are clicking at once, teams may want to steer clear of this team.

Holmes 74-66.

Anyone know if there might be some radio/internet coverage of the game tonight?
