Congrats to the Panthers. They're JV teams that are older than Bracken right now, but they keep working hard and should be improved in the future, I think they have nearly their entire team for the next three years.
I think you would in fact see that. BC had their best seasons in 2011 winning 6 games and 2012 winning 5 games. I have talked with coaches at BC, I follow them because I used to coach with a one of them, and they feel that they are about 1-2 years away from being solid.
From what I can gather BC is currently starting 1 JR, the rest of their team is FR/SO out of around 25 kids on roster. They have some nice athletes but they are just out muscled right now from the looks of it, no need for tearing a team down for being young, it happens with all small rural schools at some time or another.
Great Post, Good Luck to the Panthers, They seem to have it rolling up there now. I am surprised to see Eminence down 0-2 this early, Bracken is extremely young this season, I look for great things out of Paris the next two years.
In my opinion the competition just got tougher. They were competitive in all but one game, those seniors at Bracken have finally got the program turned around. Over half of their all time wins have came in the last two years.
You would have to put Mike Sizemore at Bracken County in the mix of coaches on the rise. He is around 24 and has the Polar Bears sitting at 4-1 so far this season.
This should be a good game either way. I have just heard so many good things about the kid from Dayton. Wish him a speedy recovery if he is in fact injured. I am going to predict Bracken in a nail biter.
