Although the game against Covcath may have been a moral victory, you have it marked as a W and not an L in your list.

Forgot that. Both teams on the floor and no refs.

Spoke to the father of Nick Fredrick. He's a Colonel and is not transferring anywhere. To other "blue uniform" fans. Stop flattering yourselves.

I will say this about last night's crew. I've never seen so many inadvertent whistles, play stoppages to discuss things, overturned calls and to sum it up, complete and utter mass confusion.

Hinting a rumor that a player is transferring is total irresponsibility.

Three stats that jump off the page in 3-D. NewCath 40 to 26 in rebounds and 17/20 from the line compared to 4/6 for CCH. Geisler 13/15 from the line. There were 8 total fouls on NCC and 16 for CovCath.

CovCath actually switched to the zone in the middle of the 2nd quarter and not in the 2nd half.

Thelen had 21 and Connelly had 16.

Yeah, no way NCC can beat Holmes. Wait a minute, scratch that.

I'm sorry I don't, but I agee with everything you said. Rebounding was about even the 2nd half. It was the key of the game. Now, some of that happened when Connelly went out as that was the highest scoring quarter for the dogs. I don't think much was decided tonight, except for the fact that the region is wide open.

Just trying to calm you down a bit so you can at least get some sleep tonight.

There has to be something we can think of to get Walter from just absolutely busting out of his shirt. Oh, I got one, what was the count on your famous dunk-o-meter???

Both teams shot around 48% from the field and both had about 10-12 turnovers. The reason that CovCath lost this game was because they did not box out. Ball watching. The 2nd chance points were 12-6 in favor of Holmes and they won by 4. There is no reason, not one, why a team that goes 6'-7", 6'-6", 6'-5" gets outrebounded by a much smallter team like Holmes. You box you, you get rebounds. You don't box out, they get rebounds and Holmes got 37 and CCH got 28. All that being said, very impressive comeback to outscore Holmes by 13 at one point in the 2nd half. Connelly going out in the first half with the cut to the nose while leading the Colonels in scoring also hurt. It took a long time for Jake to get involved int he offense and they nver got Baker involved. Riedinger did an awesome job of scoring from 3 and hitting free throws. He and Machinot handled the pressure pretty well. Execution down the stretch was not good for the Colonels.

It's been changed now from yesterday to today. Thanks.

Did CovCath fire one of their coaches?
:thumb: And I'd like to add that there has not been one concrete piece of fact written on this topic yet. If a change is confirmed, I'm sure it was for the betterment of the program or the person who left.

Did CovCath fire one of their coaches?
You are 100% correct Wildcat. Dave Brossart did not bring one assistant coach name to the table when he interviewed. Actually he advertised on Yappi for assistant coaches after he was hired at CovCath.

Did CovCath fire one of their coaches?
Coaching changes are made every year. It's only headlines when CovCath does it. Why is that?

Did CovCath fire one of their coaches?
Still pathetic I see. Since you did not comment on the "was a coach fired" part of the thread but chose to comment on the "Park Hills Mafia" part of the thread like I did, you appear to also have had a nerve struck. I see you still have some of that axe left. Still, "one" head coach fired in 105 years of coaching. One.

Did CovCath fire one of their coaches?
Nope.

Did CovCath fire one of their coaches?
I am starting to think they are always restless in Park Hills glad I moved out of their a few years ago. Let's hear your Indepence Mafia record since 1976.

Did CovCath fire one of their coaches?
I feel I need to defend the mythical Park Hills Mafia. In the 3 major sports, those being Baseball, Football and Basketball since 1976 there has been one head coach fired. That is 105 coaching years. Krumps has been there since 1976, Coach Ray was there for 30 years, George Schneider retired as well as Coach Tieman. Coach Listerman has been the head coach for 10 years. Rodenberg left on his own. It's generally a pretty safe job. I dare anyone to come up with another school with that kind of continuity.

Nice try. Triangle and 3! LOL

Holmes / Covington Catholic Predictions (1/12)
Yes, they press and run. They essentially start 5 guards.

Holmes / Covington Catholic Predictions (1/12)
This game comes down to one thing and one thing only. If the Colonels can get over half court and run their offense, they will win. If they can't handle the pressure they won't. Ball fake, ball fake, ball fake. Size over speed if you can handle the ball.

I think there are too many points here. I think Schult had 8.
