Great comeback effort by the Trinity kids after a disastrous first half. Great end of game field goal by Male holder and kicker. Snap was high and over the shoulder. How you cannot have your team ready to play for a game like this. Trinity started their third string QB according to the broadcast. NL Tanker is 100% correct. If you think we are being harsh, listen to the Trinity radio team. They commented on head scratching calls by the Trinity coaches multiple times and on key plays. They call it straight and are not homers. Coaching staff is not good enough. Use of timeous is flat out bewildering.

I loved Trinity’s effort and defensive toughness. The kicker and punter are weapons that you usually do not see in high school. Both can boom it. Trinity lacks a playmaker outside of the QB. However, starting to see one emerge at WR. The passing game is improving. The running game doesn’t have edge speed but they can slip through the line. Holding this team back is coaching. Get the play in! They constantly take too long to get the play in. Defense gets to rest, get set and read personnel. Quit using hand signals, if we can read the indicators, so can the other sideline. Once inside the 30, play calling gets basic. Settle for field goals. When it’s 3rd and 8 the play call cannot be off tackle to the middle of the field every time. Sure you have a great place kicker but you eventually need TD’s. Did not even attempt to pass before going on 4th and 1 at the end of the game. Should have won it in regulation, several times. I know Coach Cobb is a great guy but this program is too big for him and most of his staff. Trinity should always be doing a national search for a coach. GO ROCKS!

I think the talent is down in Louisville this season. Why, is surely a thread on it’s own. However, the speed is always there. That is the difference. I did not see that kind of speed in the SK/Highlands replay I watched.

Saying it was a big win is proclaiming Trinity as a world beater? I never got that impression from last weeks thread. Also, losing two big contributors for the year and seeing what Moeller did brought out a lot of concern. Carmel is always good and winning at their place is always a big win.

The same broadcast team that did Trinity/Carmel is doing this game. I’m guessing it will be $9.99.

That is a big time performance in Week 1. They have my attention. Next week should say a lot for both SK and Highlands.

Trinity defense is for real… Hopefully Stephen Mack gets back quickly.

I thought Springfield’s QB was the best on the field. They have a Division 1 WR and were very athletic as a whole.

Very impressed by Drew Allen at QB. He had a 40yd TD run. The last TD was actually a pass play for 75 yds by the second QB. The defense looks quick and made many good plays. Kicking game was strong. The sideline looked more focused from both players and coaches. Only a scrimmage but the Rocks seemed a lot more prepared than they did a year ago.
