So, if you had/have kids and they were taken without your knowledge to a church that say...handles snakes as a way of showing faith and you didn't agree with this practice, you would be ok with this and still clapping for the coach? I hope my child chooses to be baptized and I also know as a parent, that I want to be part of that decision and help her make that decision. That is our jobs as parents.

IMO, college athletes shouldn't put themselves in a position that could get them in trouble with a FB or Myspace page. Remember the Texas player with the Obama statement getting kicked off the team? Young people can do and say some stupid things with the world watching. I would say this young man has some trouble coming his way...at least he should.

USC 31 OSU 21 I'll take USC's frosh QB over Pryor already. Not because I think Barkley is great yet, I just don't think Pryor is that good. USC will rush for over 225 yds and take the pressure of the passing game.

I think so too. I'm thinking McCoy wins that "career achievement" type this year. Clausen will put up huge numbers though and make it interesting. Beano Cook will be all over ESPN by November!

I felt sorry for Lee's#26. He was the only player they had. Harlan's D line played well.

Solid showing by the Cats. D looked good and I thought Hartline continued his upward progression very nicely. Kicking game is horrible.

Now i'll say there are more similarities to Billy -- UK and Rich -- UM. Trouble has hit hard now.

I know this isn't KY football, but if you all aren't watching this game on ESPN right now you are missing one of the most exciting football games i've watched. Cedar is at home and ranked 12 in the nation and are down 1 point late in the 3rd quarter. Lots of talent and speed in this game.

I'll still put Phil's game up against Farmer...maybe i'm biased a little, but I would. I know he isn't the most liked person around Cawood Athletics (when Cawood was still there), but his game was exceptional. I didn't see Stepp play, so that is why I made the Farmer comparison.

Nice interview. Good job. I stumbled on an article about Phil Cox (Mr. Basketball '81) from Cawood High School a few years ago and it's always great to see where these guys end up in life.

I played in the early 90's against 2 players that were both drafted out of HS and I would put Chris up against either as a defensive outfielder. He was a much better OF than P.

Chris Saylor from Cawood was IMO one of the best defensive CF to come through the region in a long time. He was also a very hard throwing lefty pitcher that battled arm injuries his entire Sr. season. Justin Harris was also on that team and a very good lefty P that I think spent his Sr. season at Middlesboro. I think both deserve mentioning on this thread. John Smith from Harlan High School looked good as a young player, I moved away and didn't get to follow his career.

I think it is a simple case of addition by subtraction. T.O., Pacman, and Tank gone = better TEAM IMO.
