I agree with you about Hodges needing to produce more at the high school level, but in his defense and my opinion, he is not utilized correctly. I feel like he could really excell as a wing player versus a back to basket guy. I also have no problems with your top three. At this point you could arrainge them any way you want and until after the season there is no clear cut answer.

My top ten would be: Thelan Stauffer Giesler Montgomery Hodges Brown Flesch Stewart Hatton Berger

You can start this list off with the top three in any order and I would not argue with you. After that you have Fangman, Hayes, & even Trammel. I question them. Trammel for obvious reasons. I love this kid's game this summer ,but he did miss last year. Hayes was just not much of a factor. He was on a great team and may contribute more this year, but is very unproven. Fangman IMO is a good shooter, but just not top ten material. I would take Flesch, Connelly, or Brown out of your honorable mention before any of these three.

I have to agree with you here. This is a very restricting rule. I have heard Indiana is holding camps and tournaments for the next month or so.

I didn't realize HAyes was 6'1". He will be a force this year with his speed and leaping ability.

Travis is a very good athlete and I don't have a doubt in mind that he could play basketball at the next level. Is he considering a career in the NBA? Probably not. Travis should focus on getting the best education he can and getting it paid for. If he has interest from a high DII school that is great. Will he get to play there versus sitting as a walk on at a DI school. There is the chance that Travis could earn a spot on a DI program, but he needs to consider all of his options and really address what he expects to get out of his time in college and go from there.

Traditionally I would agree with you, but I think that the NKY area is begining to gain a reputation for producing high caliber athletes. I would not be surprised one bit to see a few of the 2011 NKY kids go D1. I am not in any way discounting how difficult of a challenge that is, but I really do feel that the potential is there.

I agree here. As much as I like Jack Stewart, I do not see him carrying this team into the state's top ten. I would not even have them at the top in NKY. I do like Eastern at the top. This team can flat out play ball.

Travis is going to be really fun to watch this upcoming year.

Second that. Congratulations Bulldogs!!!!!

I stopped in to watch a Holy Cross team play and ended up catching some of the U17 finals. Who were the Bulldogs playing in this one. They just had on black tee shirts. It turned out to be a very good game. I got to see Bobby Stauffer from Ryle play. This kid is tough. He must have had 20 points against a kid who looked to be every bit of 22 - 24 years old.

I have been to some pretty bad games and have only seen a coach take his team off the court once and it was because he honestly thought there were going to be injuries. I am also interested to see what happened here. Anyone have any updates?

Wasn't Purvis supposed to be playing for the ICE this year?

I think others were confused as well. There wasn't a bracket hanging up for the U17. I know that Shining Star had several teams in the tournament at the U17 age level. If you look at the website, there are multiple teams listed as Price, but they do have colors associated with them as well. I think it would have been alot easier to follow if the brackets had been up.
