I like Holy Cross becasue of some players that I know and have watch develope into fine athletes, but Holmes is very tough also so before you start crowning one or the other you might want to wait til they play each other because last I checked the Lady dogs are 6-0.

Holmes graduated six seniors as well and start a freshman , 8 grader, 2 soph and a senior with a new system and also beat Highlands which generally is a powerful girls team. Jaime is a good coach who has had good teams for awhile only 2005/2006 season was a losing season prior but the Holmes team did have to learn a totally new system also with new players that had not played together. Also had only two winning seasons since 2008 so it is clear that Coach Perkins has done something that had not been done in a while. So as far as I'm concerned it sounds like a popularity contest instead of a coach improving a program into playing better.

Dajah McClendon plays at Holy Cross. Surprised not to see Jaynice Stovall for Holmes since she had the most impact on the team as a freshman. Coach Tony Perkins of Holmes not Coach of the Year with what he did with a team that only had Senior Deena Kilburn with major varsity experience everyone else basicaly no varsity experience which had not had a winning season in years also with a victory over Notre Dame who they had not beat since 2005. Wow what a joke!!

None needed always enjoy the hospitality at NCC. But I enjoyed meeting you and good luck to both the boys and the girl Breds.

Never question whether or not you was a bulldog fan as I just posted every team has that crew that will not give them a fair shot not just Holmes. Like you said you was not there. I was and I did not say all officials But if the shoe fits wear it !

When you draw a crew like last night on several occasions and the calls are the same you can tell believe me. Every team has officials that will no matter what who call bad fouls on them and to act as if you have not had that experience would be a surprise to me. The stats dont lie and when you get that crew you right off know what type of night its going to be. Now on the other hand if you are an official yourself then I would not expect you to agree but if it has happened in college and the pros why would you not think that it could not be possible in high school. As I said before NCC is a quality team that does not need any assistance and I comend the Breds but just as I will give credit when due I will as well give my view on what I will not take back and that is last nights crew has been bias against the lady bulldogs before and until the Khsaa does something about it they will continue to be. It is what it is !!

Officiating was horrible with a 27 NCC to 9 Holmes free throw margin it would be pretty hard for any team to get a victory with that type of home cooking. Not taking anything away from the Breds because Nikki Kiernan can flat out play. She to me demostrated who I feel should be Miss Kentucky and I had no problem telling her mom after the game. Oh by the way Mrs. Kiernan I would have taking one of those cup cakes because they looked very tastey but I knew I could not have had just one. They have a very talented young lady who I believe is going to make a immediate impact on someones college basketball team. So as far as your comment Lawnboy13 a game should never be placed in a position to be dictated by a boat load of bad calls or over looked calls by a bias officiating crew. NCC did not and could not have controlled the refs actions but it was a flat out disservice being concidered as Khsaa certified and bluntly fixing what should have been a good game. Once again congrats to Nikki Kiernan and her parents and good luck to the Breds the rest of the season.

I just gave a reason why RG21 may have felt the way they feel I dont need no woulda, shoulda explainations because they are losses in my book as well but since you responded Boone and Cooper are not the question at hand because neither hit alot of 3's the same night against Holmes. The fact of matter is that Holmes missed the free throws.

They did not hold back anything they just missed 15-20 free throws in all the games that they loss except for the Glasgow and Beechwood games were those two teams flat out beat them.

Will this poll be decided by a players overall stats as well as whether a particular team would still win without the MVP or will it be decided by a popularity vote.

Rod Avery is just as athletic as Marcus Hill if not better he just does not have the weight but he can flat out play. Which is not average to me.

They are settling down and have adjusted well to Coach Perkins and his staffs style of play which has changed the Lady dogs whole frame of thinking. They expect to win and be competative for the full 32 minutes causing nothing but havoc on their opponents. Which is a very exciting brand of lady basketball from the beginning to the last buzzer. Which is what Holmes has been missing for years.

NCC should be rated higher than ND who lost to Holmes by ten at Notre Dame.
