Coach L has added former Bulldog and 2009 state tournament MVP Ricardo Johnson to his staff as the freshman coach.

 

I assume he will also be a JV/Varsity assistant as well.

I don't think he is teaching but I do believe he got a job in the school system.

I believe Kevin Reinhardt was the freshman coach before and took Coach L varsity assistant position.

Agree. He was a very smart player, and an even better young man.

He has a degree in Community Relations/Outreach, something like that. Covington Schools is a good place to do that. He probably has a position in the system for that. If those kids don't learn something from him and how he overcame all the challenges, then they probably can't be helped at this time. He is a #1 kind of man. Covington is blessed he came home.

You are correct, he told me that, I can't remember a lot anymore.

Ricardo is a fantastic young man and the Holmes kids will flourish under his guidance at that level. I wish him all the best with his position in the district and his coaching.....he will do equally well at both. It is awesome to see him come this far but I'm not suprised for a minute......quality individual in every way.

Saw Ric today...his role in the school district is as an assistant to the superintendent.

Awesome opportunity, and from the sounds of it, there aren't many who have a bad word to say about Mr. Johnson. Glad to see Coach Listerman reinvesting in the community and hope Ricardo is just beginning a long and prosperous career.
