NewCath beats Simon Kenton by 22 at Simon Kenton.......

Edit.

Edited by bballguy

I guess they didn't factor in Ballard beating Butler and SHA last week. Ballard should be number 3.

The Litkenhous "rating" is just that. Not a poll, but a list of the teams with the highest ratings using their own math formula which comes from win/loss, difficulty of schedule etc and not sure how they could figure in head to head results. and yes note this list is from 1/14. Should be new one soon.

Not to change the subject, but did a new edition of the Cantrall ratings come out this morning? Any word from anyone out there?

Thanks. Each system has a different formula, but generally speaking, the better teams are included. No teams are getting slighted or promoted in either one.

No Newport Catholic?????? like I said above.....NewCath beats Simon Kenton by 22 at Simon Kenton, and know they're not even on the list.

ACS is getting absolutely no respect by either poll! I also find it atrocious that Fields didn't even have NCC rated! Both polls are embarrassing to girls hoops.

I honestly think BGP has the best rankings out there, in both boys and girls basketball.

There are no great teams this year. I think the tournament is wide open. The senior class is weaker than past classes. I am basing this on what I saw of the junior all stars last summer. I have not seen Ballard or Butler play yet but have seen Elizabethtown, Sacred Heart, Anderson County, Notre Dame, Newport Catholic, Owensboro Catholic, Simon Kenton, Bullitt East and Henderson Co. All of those teams have serious flaws and are capable of being beat on a given night

NCC should be rated higher than ND who lost to Holmes by ten at Notre Dame.
