  1. Don't count on HHS staying in 4A. Everything that I am hearing is that HHS WILL move up to 5A.
  2. Good list and rank them how you want but this region is WIDE open and arguments can/will be made for many but personally I think there could be a sleeper is not getting talked about too much that could emerge. Until someone TAKES the title from the Bulldogs they should be the favorite. They have the best player, or next best player if you include a healthy BH, in the region and he has a strong supporting cast to go with him. I just think this is not as cut and dry as one might think and several teams may be there at BOK in the end.
  3. Congrats to Conner. Kid got his start in football with me and it seems like yesterday! Glad he's continuing his career in football and getting a great education to boot. Great kid and great family!!
  4. I see a lot of post about what Conner did wrong (play calling and such) but how about what AC did right?! I told posted earlier that at some point Cox would get free and he did and it appears he had a pick as well on D, good young man that I had the pleasure of speaking with this summer at the UofL camp and after the Cooper game. AC has some weapons and I'm sure the bulletin board material coach Trosper provided helped to motivate AC. Good luck to AC in their rematch with FC.
  5. Just as I suspected. Where are all the folks that predicted an EASY Conner win? At some point and time you have to plays solid DEFENSE for 4 qtrs. You can't always just outscore everyone. Good luck to Drew at UK!!
  6. That's seems to be Trosper's mentality, outscore them. AC is avg. 37 points per game so the same question should be, has Conner seen this type of offense from AC? Again, at some point to you have to play solid defense. Should be interesting but I will not be surprised by either team winning.
  7. They flat out could not stop the passing over the middle of the field and the one time they tried to single cover Morgan he hit them for a score. From that point he was doubled all nite. Coopers D shut down the run and ACs passing was held in check. If Ludwig doesn't get hurt just before half Cooper wins this game easily.
  8. This game will go one of two ways. If Barker is given time to throw the ball vs. the blitzing AC team they should win by a couple scores...HOWEVER, if AC gets to Barker with their blitzing this game will turn on a dime. Conner fans are not going to want to hear this but Way is going to be limited because he WILL be double teamed the entire nite. This is the exact same thing they did to Morgan from Cooper, a few times during the game he was triple teamed, and was only able to real in couple of passes. But here is the "be all end all". If Conner's defense does not step up and I mean REALLY step up they are in for a long nite. AC's running game is pretty darn good and #25 Ross Cox IS A PLAYER and he WILL get loose! Their QB #10, #1, #20, and #4 are serious weapons also. Conner tends to play by the motto "we will out score them" and in really, really big games they have struggled (i.e. FC last year and S.O. this year). At some point you have to play SOLID defense and for 4qtrs. This will NOT be an E-Z game for either team but if the Conner D finds a way to slow AC down they could come away with a win. If they don't, I can see AC winning by 2 or more scores. May the best team win.
  9. 35-21 at half but Ludwig suffered a severe laceration to the face and had to be rushed to the hospital. Cooper fought hard but the offense could not get it going. Morgan also had a severe leg injury that slowed him tremendously after having a stellar 1st half with a Td and 2 picks. Tale of 2 halves and the Jags have nothing to be ashamed of. Tough losses all year but they should be proud.
  10. Not really sure why this is an issue. Sounds to me that some on here are afraid of the preverbial UPSET of a 4 beating a 1 which just might happen in this years playoffs. If KY wants to make a chage then adopt the same scale/ratiing system that Ohio uses where some teams with only 1 loss may not make the playoffs as a "BSC" formula is used. There is nothing wrong with the system now so I'm not sure what the fuss is all about. The best teams will rise to the top at the appropriate time so good luck to ALL the teams in the playoffs but most importantly I want everyone to stay healthly the rest of the season as there have been far too many severe injuries this season.
  11. Jalen has in fact reclassified and is a junior and at Lockland. Saw him at the sweet 16 last year and spoke with him personally. So, unless something has changed he should be at Lockland as a Junior.
  12. I believe I made that point indirectly earlier but nonetheless I don't see Cooper getting smashed by 41 points as you are predicting.
  13. Well, that's the ball game folks. FC wins in a route of Scott......slam on the brakes because I just past the Deja Vue exit!!! Someone must have the copy and paste function on their computer working like a charm because the comments I'm reading are the EXACT same comments I read last year before another NKY team came a calling and bounced FC from the playoffs. People can keep under estimating this Scott team if they want to but if Scott has their ground game humming like they have all season this WILL be a dogfight. 350 yards / game is 350 yards / game people and you can't score if you don't have the ball. Sure, Scott gives up the big play from time to time but with the QB and Timmons being gone I will take Scott in this one to surprise alot of people. FC is good but they are not as good as last year and I don't think the Scott seniors are ready to call it quits just yet so I look for them to have an inspired game and take this road victory in great FC environment. This will be a better game than many are predicting. Good luck Eagles!!
  14. Hope everyone such as yourself keeps looking at Cooper's 3-7 record and looking past them. I know Anderson has a strong team and will be looking for revenge for what happened to them last year vs Cooper (a 50-0 loss) I will tell you that Cooper is Battle Tested with one of the toughest schedules in the State and lost several games in the 4th quarter. Either team could win IMO and don't envison this lopsided of a score you are predicting, nor like last year's score, but I'm sure of one thing, the Jags will be there fighting hard and if the Cooper team that played vs. Conner shows up this will be a ballgame.
  15. Scott will beat Franklin Co. IMO. This FC team is no where like last year's team. Scott will play ball control again and rush for over 300yrds. again.
  16. LOL. Barker, Castleman, and Crim all talk smack because that's the competitive nature of these players. All 3 at some point played for the same AAU basketball organization and if you don't talk a little, or alot, of smack you don't see the floor. It's all good. They will be competitors on the field but at the end of the day they are going to respect each others game. Kids being kids and like I said earlier, the better team will win....whoever that may be.
  17. Never saw a tweet win or lose a game. Both of these teams are good. One throws the ball very well and one runs it extremely well. While Sott does give up alot through the air so does Conner and, in addition, does not stop very many teams that have a running game. This game may come down to who had the ball last or, more than likely, Conner's passing game may be their worst enemy. By that I mean they do score relatively fast through the air. Scott is very ball control with the ground game (335yrd/game) and if their best defense may be keeping Barker off the field by chewing up the clock with an extremely good ground game. Just MO. Have known several players from both teams since 2nd grade so may the best team win.
  18. Had lunch with Thad about 2 months ago while he was here visiting friends and he said his fb team is not very good but he is still being recruited pretty hard so he will land somewhere good I'm sure.
  19. Incorrect. His mother is living in NKY to be closer to Sydney who is enrolled at Thomas More for the Basketball and Golf Teams.
  20. First is head to head and if there is a 3 way tie after that the teams will get points for the wins of their opposing teams that they beat. The team that have that highest point total will win the district so forth and so on. Similar to last year where Cooper was 9-1 (3-1 in district) at the end of the season with Conner and S. Oldham and S. Oldham won the district due to their opponents #of wins. For Scott to win the district they will need to do so outright because if it comes down to a 3-way tie they will not fair well due to their opponents not having a high number of wins.
  21. Congrats to the Jags! Looks like they found some offensive power. Good luck in the last two games.
