I don't think it will affect any team all that much. It's been at BOKC for a few years now, and usually the same teams have been there. So its nothing new at this point.

True, but now Holmes is comin off a devastating loss, and it took 2OT to beat the dogs the first time. This is the one team NCC probably doesn't want to face in the first round.

They always draw opposite in the region. Its always that way.

NCC's worst nightmare just happened, Holmes a district runner up. I see the regional draw gods having NCC/Holmes as the 1st game of the region setting the stage for a great tournament.

I see Holmes winning this one by 5. They beat CCH at their home gym earlier this year. I expect Holmes to hold serve on their own court, and winning another district title. Either way, I'm sure the other district winners don't wanna face this district loser in the first round.

If you weren't there, words wont describe the game. Needs to be seen to be believed. I think either of these teams can make noise down in Lexington after what they showed tonight.

Great doesn't describe this game. Tough for either team to lose. Great to see Holmes not fold it in when they were down 14 in the 4th. Seems like Holmes relied on Bolden a lot tonight, and he did all he could even playing through pain towards the end of the game. Hoping these two draw opposite in the region, anything less of a regional final with these two will be disappointing.

If Kentucky goes to classified basketball, I will never go to state tournament ever again. 1 state, 1 champion. Thats why the Sweet 16 is the BEST postseason tournament in high school sports.

Its all about peer pressure. Now a days if you care about your school and show school spirit your almost looked down upon. When Holmes beat Boone in the region final in 09, I saw more alumni at the game than current students from Holmes. Even as a Holmes grad, I love CovCath for their Colonel Crazies. Every year and every game there is a crowd of students. Kids today have no pride for their school.

I like the idea of the finals on seperate days. It lets each team (mainly the girls winner)have their own moment when they win the region and not have it shared or rush their celebration.

I agree. Although these two may not want to play each other in 1st round, they get the easiest draw.
