I agree with you Walter, I think Dixie is the one team that can give the Bulldogs real problems. I think they can beat everyone else besides Dixie as this point. But who knows, regionals are different than regular season, much more aggression and heart.
How about Cooper and Llyod taking down Boone and Dixie in district championships? Very unexpected. 35th again proved its the toughest district in the state.
Im a Holmes alum, so I'm spoiled with their recent success. It would be nice to return to Rupp. I'm hoping they get their offense on track and play good hard defense.
Most probably saw the semi's of region being Holmes, NCC, Boone, and Dixie. Well, with what has transpired, those could be 2 first round match ups this year.
Honestly I think its a disgrace if you purposely lose a game no matter what it means for the future. Thats unsportsmanlike and you don't deserve to coach after that game. Regardless you have to say Holmes if biggest loser in the draw because they can draw Dixie or Boone in the first round, both of which they lost to by 10+ points.
Assuming Highlands loses I'm hoping that Holmes draws them in the first round otherwise they might be 1 and done based on the way they been playing lately. Either way, makes for a fun tourny.
Prediction after Friday games:
Cooper
Highlands
Llyod
Cov. Cath.
Holmes
Boone Co.
NewCath
Dixie
Holmes ends up with bad draw with losing badly to both Dixie and Boone Co. earlier in the year and going to OT with NewCath.
Congrats to HC on a great season, but 14 pts in 7 quarters isnt earth shattering. Thats only 2 per quarter. Hopefully HC can keep building good teams like this to keep the 35th District the best district in the STATE
