I was curious to that myself, I can only assume that he is in Henley's doghouse since he was pulled from the Boone game and never returned to the lineup.
If the Holmes team that played the 3rd quarter plays shows up from now on, and I hope they do, no one will be able to keep up with them. I loved that Henley started out the 3rd with a full court press, creating turnover after turnover. This is the team everyone wanted to see all year.
Both the Litkinhouse and Cantrell ratings are a joke. Thats why everyone pays attention to the AP poll and the BGP Poll as real rankings instead of these two.
Does margin of victory really matter? Last I checked a record only has wins and losses, and this is a win. We will see come tournament time who the best team really is.
The past couple years after Holmes has lost to a regional opponent, everyone says that the region is up for grabs. But Holmes always find ways to win. This year will be no different.
I still think Holmes will win the region, and one word will describe it, Defense. This team is by far believe the best defensive team I have seen in years.
From the Enquirer blog
Holmes 46, NewCath 43 … That’s the final from here on the hill.
Very good game. Fourth-ranked NewCath came back from a 18-4 deficit to take a second-half lead. No. 1 Holmes came up with a big defensive effort in the fourth quarter. The Bulldogs held NewCath scoreless for the final 7:44. Elijah Pittman blocked a potential go-ahead layup with time winding down and Ricardo Johnson blocked a potential game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.
More snow is the only thing I think can keep the boys from Holmes from winning this one. Holmes is getting hot at the right time and the snow is the only thing cooling them down.
