Great rematch, who comes out on top of this 9th Region battle?

Can a mod correct the spelling of Holmes in the title for me.

Should be a great game. Mcqueary will be the key for Boone Co and the outside shooting will have to be good for Holmes to win.

Boone pretty well dismantled Holmes during their first match up but I expect much more intensity from Holmes in this one.

I will take Holmes by 5 making key free throws down the stretch.

This may be the worst matchup in the regional for Holmes. Boone County seems to know how to play Holmes. They don't get intimidated. They have the ballhandlers to take any pressure Holmes might try to use. Boone is a very fundamentally sound team, especially on defense. They like to control tempo and can fast or slow, depending on what the game dictates. I am not saying Boone will win because they have their own offensive challenges so who knows. But I don't think there is a team in the tournament Holmes wants to play less in the first round except perhaps Dixie.

I'll go with Boone County. It is a toss up but I just have a feeling Boone County will somehow get the win.

I'm with you. Holmes didn't use Rice on Zane at all in the first game and he went off. Really think Rice can give him fits on defense and that's a matchup Coach Booher will use more.

So Walter, all year long I have heard how much of an advantage it was to have Coach Listerman on the bench. How has Coach Booher utilized Coach L. to the teams advantage? Or anyone else who cares to offer opinion. Has Coach L proved to be a valuable asset to Holmes and why.

Boone County is an excellent FT shooting team, if they can get many trips to the line, it's the Rebels game to lose. I don't see this game ever getting where either team gets a double digit lead, several ties and lead changes. In the end, Boone County takes advantage of the charity stripe and pulls this one out:

Coach L has been a great motivator and teacher for this team.

 

I asked Coach Booher the same question when Holmes played Dixie and he said Coach L has really helped because of his experience and overall knowledge of the game.

 

When it comes to gameplan and adjustments throughout the game Coach Booher is very open to suggestions from both Coach L and Coach Wimzie. At the end of the day it is on the players to execute but these three work together very well and come up with the best possible plan to get the win.

 

Look at Holmes out of timeouts this year and it is clear the coaching staff is doing something right. You can constantly hear all three coaches shouting out instructions throughout the game but Coach L is definetly the most vocal.
