I actually moved to a rival school to finish high school. Traditorem is a Latin term for "one who delievers" and the word traitor is derived from it.....a bit of bad blood there.
Nicholas was hit pretty hard by graduation losing key players in McCarty, Workman, and Mynear. I would think that Campbell will move to SS replacing Workman but finding a replacement for Campbell at 2nd will be tough.
NC will also have to find some new arms in the rotation returning IMO one seasoned player.
I'd have to agree with you here I've watched these kids play since they were young and both are Top 10 worthy. Campbell can shoot the lights out on any given night while at the same time grabbing 10 rebounds. He's a tough kid and with his work ethic I believe he will achieve great things.
I'm not saying he will be a top 10 player next year but one to watch in the upcoming years is the little guard from Pendleton County. Not sure of his name but I believe he was an 8th grader last year.
The Mynear kid tore his ACL in football season has only been back since late April so he hasn't been throwing as hard as last year. Nicholas lost 4 players in the beginning 2 seniors and 2 juniors. They pulled up several younger players who did a great job stepping up. To go through what they did and have a winning season is a great accomplishment.
All the asst coach said was "He should have been already in the dugout". I believe the kid who cussed several of Bourbon fans was the umpires son. With the language this kid was using he should have sent his kid to the car:irked:
Hats off to Nicholas as well, they have had a good season despite losing 4 players at beginning of the season and the Mynear kid not coming back until middle of April from football injury. They had to pull up some younger players who did a good job stepping in. :thumb:
