Has anybody herd any thing on this .Has rain washed out all the games?

NewCath and Lloyd got 2 innings in with NewCath up 2-0. Hopefully it will resume Wed. night.

Raceland is ahead 5-2 in the fourth inning vs Rose Hill. The game wil be continued tomorrow and the winner will play the winner of the Bath County/Fairview (which was rained out, too) game for the 16th Region All A Championship.

Heritage won by forfeit over Villa. They withdrew so Heritage plays Dayton today at 5pm....

Villa did have to withdraw due to not having enough players. What a great draw for Villa, to bad they could not take advantage of it. I know 2 seniors and a junior that have played in the program for years, told coach at the last second they were leaving for spring break. The players have seemed to left there coach hangin dry!:confused:

That's unfortunate that players would let their team mates down like that. Despite Villa's struggles, I have a ton of respect for the coach and the players for building a program. Too bad they didn't get to participate in the tourney.

With Heritage not having to use any pitching at all to advance due to the forfeit, I would certainly see them as the favorite now over Dayton. In fact, if they can get an early lead and perhaps limit Schroer's innings, their game against Bellevue just might be very interesting.

Hang in there Villa's Coach things will get better, those young boys will kept your program going for several years.

Very good point! I hadn't even considered how a forfeit could change the landscape like this. Very true!!!

Building a program...the program was built when Meier left and had a district championship in their hip pocket. Welte and Sawyer are good coaches, but at a small school, it does not matter the quality of coach when your athletes go out for track. Meier was able to keep the kids interested in baseball and stave off the urge to run track. Unfortunately, Villa cannot support two spring sports. Good luck to Sawyer
