Congrats to the Colonels on the big win! This puts them in the championship game I believe, so the boys will get that big steak dinner, right? Have they ever made it to the championship game in this tourney? I know they have played in it a number of years.

I posted that I did not understand Bird Bath's comment that CCH is out of their league..... but then I figured he probably meant that CCH was out of HHS's league. At least I assumed that is what he meant, not that CCH is out of their league in playing the birds.

When a group of middle schoolers talk to several moms the way they did, using the language that they did, yes I did. I had never, and have not since, seen anything like it. I could only imagine how these kids would be when they were older.

You obviously had not had that wonderful experience of meeting the middle schoolers from highlands out front of school after a game when they threatened to not only kick kids butts from the opposing school, but their parents as well. Yes this really did happen a few years back after one of the catholic school teams played. From that point forward my feelinds towards Highlands changed - and not for the better.

Campbelll County Boys have the biggest 6th grader I have ever seen! The boy was a few inches taller than Nick Thelen, and probably three times as thick. Did not move real well, was not much of a player, but the boy is huge!

I have been following that too! Even the Anti CovCath Walter seems to be playing both sides some on this subject.

Sounds like a nice game for the Colonels. Nice to start the season out with a Win. I certainly hope we have enough guys to step up in games where Nick R is struggling or in foul trouble. Glad to hear the young Shuh had a good game. If he is able to continue getting stronger, and improve his game he may be someone to really watch when he is a senior. And, what is it with you old guys who can not sleep thru the nite????? Maybe you should drink another beer before retiring for the nite! :lol:

I am fairly certain there are no Maile's at Pius anymore. It may have been young Lenihan you are thinking of besides Ruthsatz.

If this is accurate then there are only 5 players who are JV only. The roster on the Cov Cath site lists 17 players for JV/Varsity. Seems coach is not keeping the same numbers as past years, as I seem to recall the number being 20 or so between the two.

Wow this is down to only three games?? What a shame.
