Not sure how Holmes dropped after beating Scott friday night, they only have one in state loss to the current number one rpi team Louisville Holy Coss, this is so confusing.

Impressive road win, I would also think that they move to number 8.

Holmes had 384 yards rushing between three players. This game was close for about three and a half quarters. Holmes score keeper said it’s the first time he can remember 3 players rushing for over a hundred yards in one game, and he has kept book for a very long time.

Hope to get some stats tomorrow on this game, I believe Scott had over 300 yards passing, Holmes had well over 300 rushing. As a Holmes fan, very glad this game didn’t come down to a field goal, was watching Scott’s kicker in warm ups and the young man was drilling them from 40 yards out. I know Scott had one pass play for 95 yards for a score. Proud of this group at Holmes, we thought this senior group should be pretty good. Home game for sure in the first round of play offs, just not sure who yet. Rumer is there is a possibility Holmes will be moving to 3A next year. Nice road win for Holmes, the new Boyd County stadium has to be one of the nicest high school facilities in Ky, nice folks and beautiful place to watch a game. It is a haul from Covington, some of these districts are hard to figure out. On to the game, Boyd County is so much improved from last year, they got off to a tuff start, fumbled the opening kick off, which a few plays later Holmes scores a td, then on the next series, on about the third play, they fumble again, Holmes up 14 to 0 early, but once things settled in, Boyd County was moving the ball and scored to make a halftime score of 14 to 7, in the third quarter Holmes blocked a punt around the 18 yard line and eventually scores to make the score 20 to 7. In the 4 th, Boyd scores to make it a 20 to 15 game. A late score on a nice 40 to 50 yard run seals the game for Holmes. Unofficially T. Calloway had 66 yds and Q. Calloway a 103, good luck to Boyd, onto Cynthania next week for Holmes for another road district game.

Final from Covington, two pretty evenly matched teams, huge district win for Holmes, number 26 for Rowan County is very good, Holmes with just a little more over all speed with the Calloways and Hall, on to Boyd County next week for Holmes for another district match up, good luck to Rowan, very solid team.

This has the potential to be the best team Coach Nevels has had, they return most of the line and the Calloways are tremendous athletes, I just hope they can get the season in, not an easy team to open with, Louisville Holy Cross seems to always be very competitive.

I feel the same way, we got back from a 7 day cruise in mid February, changed planes from San Juan in Newerk, workers were wearing mask already, never thought much about it, but for the next two weeks, my wife and I coughed our heads off, drank cough syrup like water, finally just went away, plus I work at the airport , so I have had to been exposed.

100 per cent agree with this, as a High School coach that coaches a spring sport, we have already lost one season, sure would hate for the athletes to have to choose a sport, it just would not work at the smaller schools. Unfortunately this is starting to sound like what happened in the spring, we was canceled for two weeks, then a month, until it was finally just canceled. I hope that the schools at least get a chance to try and play this year.

A lot of Ky basketball players are playing aau in Indiana and Ohio and have not heard of any issues. Also a lot of the Northern Ky umpires have been umping in Ohio for over a month, none have become ill that I am aware of, time to move on.

It’s just not going to happen, first I will say I have not always worn a mask, but when I walk In a business that has a sign to wear a mask I do, I was just in a speedway in Florence, 7 customers, 2 people had mask on, me and a elderly lady, heck one of the workers didn’t have it on, and one guy even looked at me like I was going to say something to him, they even have a sign saying mask is required, there is just no way to inforce it, and I’ll admit I have been anti mask, but when a business ask you to wear them a customer should respect that.
