Wainscott gets a lot of the attention, and deservedly so, but Stephenson doesn't seem to get much recognition. I think she is a really nice high school player. Is she back next year?

Was very impressed with Coach Condor. With Wells and combining for 14 points, the game should not have been close. Collins was a very resilient team tonight. Congrats to South on the win.

Owen has a tough road. I'm sure Coach Osborne will have them ready.

My question is, what do you do when they won't play you? I think that you have a valid point. I also think the smaller schools will always stick together.

It looks like the bigger schools hold her in a higher regard... A lot of these things are very political, and several do not vote for the best players. That being said, IMO Gayheart is very deserving and is an excellent player. Congrats to her.

It is implied in some of the comments. If I was quoting them, I would probably used quotation marks. Like I said, I hope Rock does well, but "best team in the state, end of story" or not seeing "anybody playing with them" is silly.

I really like Rockcastle, but did Manual quit playing basketball? Mercy still has a team, I think... Rock could certainly win it all, but to say they are BY FAR the best, or are A LOCK, is laughable. I would love to see them win it, but there are SEVERAL really good teams out there.

Owen, aka the Rodney Dangerfield of the 8th, dominated. Coach Osborne has done a tremendous with this team. The 8th region tourney is gonna be fun.

Walton and South have separated themselves from the pack for the moment. Obviously, there are no trophies given out in January. But, they certainly are looking like the favorites.

On the other end, who can guard Whitfield?

South's defense will be tough to overcome.

It looks as if other teams won't play them. Case in point, they scheduled Owen 2x this season.

I think that of the top 5-6 teams, anyone can beat anyone on a given night. That being said, who has the tools to win three in a row? I think the next month should prove to help. However, Anderson was NOT considered one of the top 3 (SK, Walton, South) at this point last season. So, it could all come down to who gets hot. I think this will be an exciting regional tourney.

WOW!! They should be forced to resign. South should be a heavy favorite.

It looks like two good teams had a very competitive game. I'm sure both sides have things they could have done better.

I agree with the 3 you have, but I would def. add Owen and Collins. I could be wrong, but I'm not sure they will be challenged in the 31st.
