I have no predictions. In my opinion, this game is a toss-up. But, don't sleep on Shelby. They might be as good as any team in the region.

I don't think they take pre-season games into account. They will have their chance against Marion when it matters here shortly.

Also, I think it is interesting how many teams from the 7th and 12th regions are in here. Not that I disagree, I just think those regional tournaments will be VERY interesting.

On a serious note, I think it will be important for both teams not to put too much stock into this game. It's a long season and they will play several more times.

I think if Walton can score more points they will have them.

During the pre-season, I would have thought Owen would be the clear favorite. However, with Carroll's recent play, I think this is a toss up. Should be a good one!

I don't know who is dismissing South as the favorite, other than the fact that Simon is the defending champion. I think South will be THE team to beat come March. Wright does a fantastic job developing talent.

I think Carroll is proving that they are a team to be reckoned with in the 8th region. Congrats to WV on a tough victory.

Is it true that Shaw for Shelby is injured? If so, that really will hurt the Lady Rockets.

I guess a lot of the schools are going through the same things. The 8th is really young overall!

Four seniors is painfully young? Then, Anderson must be in the crib this season. 1 Senior, 1 Junior, and 1 Soph, unless there are some I don't know about.

If they have two of the top 10 players in the region, how will they "suprise" anyone? Shouldn't they be a clear cut #2 behind South?

The profile on Anderson has two kids that aren't even on the team. They don't mention Wells from Shelby, who could very well be their best player. To that point, I have a hard time believing that Anderson or Shelby doesn't have a top 10 player between them. I could go on, but I just don't think a lot of work went into it.

I've seen it. It's terrible! The team rankings aren't bad, but the player rankings and team profiles are worthless.

Does anyone know how the Wells kid did this summer? She could make a lot of noise in the 8th this season.

Whitfield is certainly more athletic than Jones, although that's not a slap at Jones' athletic ability. I can't imagine Whitfield ever being close to Jones in shooting ability. Again, not a slap at Whitfield, but didn't Jones lead the state of KY in freethrow %? I would say Lauren Jones might be the best pure shooter in recent memory from the 8th. I'm not down on Whitfield at all, I think she could be one of the best in the region. I just really enjoyed watching Lauren Jones play.

I agree. Shelby would almost have to be the pre-season favorite.
