:ylsuper: Yes, SHORTEN basketball season! There are to many games per week, and to many games per season! Leave the bye week alone in football. It is the only weekend from the end of dead period until the end of football that families can plan anything, out-of-town travel, or just kids hanging out on a Friday night!

Have to agree, girls are worse. To much pressure on having the right clothes, right boyfriend etc. They are way more expensive (dresses for dances, tanning, etc.)

I got to the JV game a little late Friday night but from what I saw, I was impressed. Greenup played well and also has a very deep bench. They will do well this year.

I did this a couple of years ago and it was the best presents I ever gave. The framed photos are still on display in my various family member's homes!

It is all about choice. And we live in an era where the kids have lots of choices. The decision to play one sport over another is a tough one. But learning to make these choices/sacrifices is just another learning experience. I think expecting a youth to play three sports, make good grades, have a social life is alot of pressure. Sure, there are some athletes that can do it...but how many actually choose this? I know several that are expected to play because they always have...multiple sports are alot easier at the middle school or elementary school level. The goal being to expose them to different programs, see where they excel or what their passion is for. My son plays two sports at the high school level. Football and Track. When he was younger he did baseball and basketball also, now he enjoys some "down time" and is better for it.

Remember the saying "On any given Sunday..." or Saturday as the case may be!

Every city has places you shouldn't go or shouldn't go alone. New Orleans, Myrtle Beach and Las Vegas are in the top ten dangerous cities. But people keep going and enjoying what they have to offer. Memphis is great, especially Beal street.:ylsuper:

The funds to purchase new weight equipment and improve the field house was approved at a Board meeting in October or November. I can't remember off hand. The equipment has been purchased. You can keep up with some of the inside information by reading the minutes of the BOE meetings. (posted online)

Oh yeah, I would die to see a simple old fashioned reverse...I hope the boys have not forgot how!

He requested and received from the State of Hawaii a copy of his birth certificate. "Certificate of Live Birth" A copy has been posted for all to see on fact check.org. Many dispute this saying it is not his Hospital Birth Certificate. There are many reasons why the original may not be handy. I myself have a "certificate of live birth" The original provided to my parents some 40plus years ago was lost or misplaced. The vital statistics burea in Hawaii has gone on record saying that the certificate they provided is "certified." and that the original is on file. There was also a birth announcement placed in a local Hawaiian newspaper. For the "tinfoil hatters" this will never be enough. They do not agree with his politics and therefore will look for any excuse to discredit him. Conspiracy theories abound and the more evidence that is produced to show that he was born in Hawaii the more they cry Foul!

Does Russell have different middle schools?
