JPII has 555 students...and they're co-ed...and they're 5-4. Put into perspective, South has almost as many boys as JPII has total students.

This is comical...even when Highlands WAS good, they were average to just plain bad on Defense. Now they're just bad on offense too.

One of the most successful in that they got to the Finals, no doubt (due to six classes). But not even in the top 10 of best Franklin teams in History. Not. Even. Close.

No. FS struggled with a 5-3 3A Caldwell team. On the flip side, BG manhandled St. X by 21 and has running clocked the #5 and #6 teams in 5A, as well as the #6 team in 4A, as well as EVERYONE else on their schedule. I still think FS should be #1 in 4A right now...and also think BG would running-clock them by halftime.

I just don't see how FS isn't #1...They've beaten the #3. Please just move them up so I don't have to torture myself by arguing for them anymore.

5A Discussion.... We have BG and then some other teams.

Come on D-Fire, don't be so short sighted...the '05 BG Defense went trough a span of 12 games in which they pitched 8 shutouts, 7 of them in a row, and gave up a total of 27 points in 48 quarters of football. In that run was a 9-3 Trigg team, a 12-2 Warren Central team, an 8-4 Franklin team, a 7-4 East team, a 7-5 Tighman team, and a 9-4 Hoptown team. South was an incredible machine last year, but that '05 BG Defense was insanity.

4A vs. 1A shouldn't really "mean something". That said, I cannot believe I am saying this, but I don't understand how FS is not #1 at this point.

I think this is just Round 1.

BG wins. This is not the Trinity of the Quick days (nobody beats that crew). This BG team is lights-out good.

Two questions: 1. How exactly are people selling that the team that was BEATING Lafayette is somehow "scared" of them? 2. Where was all this angst when 4A top dog Franklin Simpson went home at half, up 14-7 on Caldwell earlier this season?

That is a staggering list of football HC's to come from such a small area. Hard to argue with the quality on that list.

I think the South and Franklin folks along with the rest of Western 4A may not be paying close attention to Allen Co. and their comparative scores. Look at their scores against Monroe Co. and Greenwood vs. South's scores. Not to mention Allen beat FS straight up last year. Don't be surprised that after a lot of South/FS build up, a senior laden Allen team comes out of that mix. Just throwing that out there.

I have never seen such claims to "domination" based on a 14-6 half of football over a smaller class 0-2 team as I have here. This board may explode with confusing claims when South and FS play.

Per Spin, apparently South has already put their JV in and Greenwood is scoring on them late...

Highlands talking about replacing the QB while leaving the defense as is, is a lot like switching to a new bucket to bail out water on the Titanic.
