WAY too much money would be lost for the two participating schools with a neutral site for rounds 3 and 4. A site like WKU which would probably host several of the neutral games costs $6,000 to rent. That's $3,000 per school to give up. Now way...money is the big factor here.

Ok, let me address a few misnomers here and make a point or two: Off Season Workouts and the "Just get Better" Agreement - In South Central KY, the following teams ALL workout 4 or 5 days (depending on the school) from January 5th on that I know about: Bowling Green, Warren East, Greenwood, Allen Co. and Edmonson Co. Now we are talking about well developed lifting, running, and polymeric agility training. We are not in the dark ages outside of X and T. These kids push their limits in the mat room, weightroom, and track. They morph from a Winter Program to a Spring Program, then to a Summer Program. Believe me; X and T have not discovered something that rest of us don't know about with regards to physical training. Trinity win because of Coaching Agreement - Has anyone noticed that nobody has addressed the facts that Trinity's Head Coach and their OC were both light years form the success they have had at Trinity when they were outside those walls? Curious... T and X develop their kids better and only have a handful of DI-A players each year Argument - Let's take Boyle Co.'s Jeff Duggins here for a sec. Duggins was one of the spearheads of the GREATEST run in KY High School Football History. Where did he end up going? A Very small school folks. Duggins was a great HIGH SCHOOL player, but not someone who drew the attention of a lot of colleges. It is not about having great college prospects at this level. It is about how many good high school players you have. AT most schools, the pick comes from 50-70 kids. AT T and X it comes from 150-170. Is that there fault, no, but don't insinuate that the pool has nothing to do with it. And on a side note…I’m a little disappointed nobody liked my T vs. X Bowl Game idea that I originally started this thread about. To me, I really just wonder if T and X don’t make 6A a bore…that was my original intention of this thread.

Against those schedules: X - 4-6 T - 5-5 The wear and tear would be too much.

I think you are right on with most of what you say, but Bob Beatty and Mike Glaser wouldn't win any rings at 90% of the public schools in this state. Don't ever think that the coaching at Trinity and X is that far ahead of the rest of the state. It is ahead, but not as far as you would like to believe. Don't believe me? Look at Trinity's brilliant OC and how well he did once he stepped outside the hallowed walls of the Rocks. No slight against him, just pointing out the fact that T and X have factors and setups that make coaches look good. Again, T and X's coaches do a phenomonal job, but I think a lot of public coaches are right on par with them. It's a wee bit different out in the rest of the world.

A Question: What's the point of allowing them in 6A? They're obviously going to win 99% of their games in the class, and they are only ever really threatened on a yearly basis by one-another. My idea: Drop the regular season X vs. T game and fill it with a good out of state opponent and then exclude them from the playoffs. Then, when the State Championships are held, play the T vs. X game like a bowl game. You could play the Freshman version on the Friday night of the Regional Championships, and the JV on the night of the State Semi's. I know it's a wacky thought, but the season is over and I for one, am tired of seeing 6A, the biggest class in KY, be nothing more than a coin flip between X and T. Just a conversation starter.

Papa John's was better in terms of a big-time stadium, but WKU is a better fan venue. It will be MUCH louder due to the design of the stadium and I think the teams will feel more like they are in a game with a really big crowd as opposed to what yu got at PJ's, where the stadium simply dwarfed all but a St. X/T crowd.

Trinity is a class program...too bad it has people like CentreRocks who feel the need to beat their chest about the obvious. Does it feel good to say such things? To scoff at those that have less? Should a Doctor get in his BMW and drive through an impoverished neighborhood so that he may tell his buddies at a cocktail party how shoddy the world outside his manicured gardens is and how nice it is inside their gates? You see it in the NFL, you see it in college, and even as we speak, it seeps into High School, so urged on by the words of those who have forgotten its value; Modesty is dying before our eyes.

Uh, Warren East's Shenard Holton holds 9 DI-A or DI-AA offers and has committed to Louisville. Who would you put over him? Bowling Green's Jay Beard will be a bigger recruit next year than anyone on the Second Team or Honorable Mention list. Who would you put over him? What does a team's record have to do with it? I thought All State was based on individual player performance? Sounds like sour grapes to me.

Is there a better big game coach than Bob Beatty? Is there a better big game team than Trinity? Ever???

Pats roll in this one. Coach Hood picks up his first playoff victory as a Head Coach and continues to lead his team in what must be one of the best turn-arounds in the last couple of years.

Quite the first round game. Lone Oak looks to be right on track with where they were last year, though a little less stout on the defensive side of the ball. East is a far cry from its 2007 team, but has run the ball with the best of them and has two 1,000 yards rushers in U of L commit Shenard Holton and Antonious Owens. Should be a good one.
