HC let me down tonight, not by losing, but coming out soft. I didn't see any heart on the court other than Giwa. They desrve to play Holmes the way they are playing. I expected more guys. CCH... What teams and players are going to be leading the region this year?

That's the truth. There just not enough players that can get the job done to compete with better teams. I know at 2A Cov Holy Cross there are 6 two way starters that just don't leave the field. It was a some what of a proble while it was hot outside. Having said that, none of those players would have it any different.

Not very well they need to get back on track. And maybe, just maybe...put up 50 points.

Thats what I meant. :ylsuper: I mean CCH has 500 boys to try to get to come out, HC has 200 or 225 boys and girls( no offense, but I mean come on they aren't loud) so in some instances it is a numbers game because the pool is smaller to choose from. :thumb: Hc has had about 20 guys at each typical game so far(not Holmes, any other "big" games) and hasn't really been out cheered. They get my vote for most spirited. It takes a lot of spirit to go out and be crazy with a smaller # of people.

Yeah theres a lot of spirit around HC this year they go and cheer at almost every boys game with a good amount of them dressing up every game. The game at Covcath Feb 6. should be one of the best atmospheres in NKY this year. While Hc doesn't always have the numbers to compete with bigger schools, the front end is about as loud and crazy as anyones. :thumb: :ylsuper:

Everything he put up in the 4th went in. Clutch plays, and a good number of them.

Maybe I am out of place, but does this remind anyone who knows Hc football of the way we run the ball and are conservative, in turn not utilizing any of the weapons. I am not trying to start a drawn out convo, but come on coaches at HC, let the boys play!! :lol:

There was actually a shotgun package being put in in the last week (Desales) but Markel missed two important days and it was dismissed because it just hadn't been practiced enough. This never should have happenend because it should have been the main offensive focus the whole year but thats another discussion :lol:. I truly do believe that with Hc returning there top two wide outs along with Roenker and Walker this offense has the ability to be very strong and dangerous. :thumb:

I am getting from people close to the program that they will stay at their postions of QB(Walker) and RB(Roenker). But their will be a lot of variations of shotgun with Walker possibly running the ball, and ultimately untilizing there talent in the passing game. Hopefully in turn putting up more points when it matters. :ylsuper:

Yea this is the class everyone connected to the program has said will put them on the map, I guess we will see.

Any percentages? While he is a very good shooter it hasn't translated as well as I had hoped to the real game. He has to much talent to not be putting up 10 to 15 a night.

Hc will return a senior team with lots of experience. As the Oldman said if they find a few leaders(which i think they will) they will enjoy some good success in 2A.

I am a little scared by Newport, just like the Football game I see this being a grind and a close game. But I think Hc will pull it out.:ylsuper:

I'm sure they realize they have to score? But when you absolutely get after it on defense and are not and offensive brute, things like this happen. I am not excepting it by any means, b/c 22 is bad, but it was good enough at the time to be in the lead for almost 3 quarters and have a chance to win up until the last few minutes.

If DeSales was the better team you played, then how did you lose to DeSales 30-15 and Holy Cross 56-3?

This was one heck of a game, great from start to end, calls weren't the greatest, but still a great game played by both sides of the ball. Congratulations to all of the HC seniors they were true leaders of this squad and without them this team would have gone nowhere. Also congrats to the whole HC team, you played your hearts out all year long. All I can say is for the Juniors (Seniors for next year), get in the weight room and prepare for your Senior season, because it will begin and it will go by in an instant, make the best of it.

HC dominated this week, just ran all over Carroll County and punched them in the mouth from begginning to end. HC vs. Desales will be a great matchup.
