Is Nicholas better than Breathitt or CAL. I don't think those two gave LCA's defense too many problems. LCA graduated lots on offense from last years team, but 7 starters returned from last year's defense. Plus I hear that Zach West is playing d-line this year, that big body lined up over the opposing team's center has to help some!!!! LCA drops back down to single A competition with a sour tast in their mouth. I feel sorry for Nicholas County.

This will be the first ever game at Lafayette's new Ismael(spelling?) Stadium. If you havent seen it, it is very nice!!!! There are pictures on the high school sports blog on http://www.kentucky.com. Where are all the Rebel fans at this week?

Would you be as shocked if I told you LCA played without 5 defensive starters and by half lost 2 more? The half time score was 16-0 at half. The eagles entered the game with 29 players with 13 being freshman. Catholic's depth took over in second half. The LCA players who played gave everything they had. The score is not indicative of LCA and their team. I'm proud to be an LCA fan. The boys had a stacked deck against them and they played until they were completely worn out.

I think Ray Graham has 198 wins including the 2 wins at LCA this season. He could hit 200 if the Eagles can manage a win at Breathitt and then somehow beat Lex Cath at Catholic next week.
