Lafayette, 2-2 will travel to take on the Cards, 3-0 this Friday in Winchester. Your thoughts and predictions on this game.

Lafayette 28-21.

Deni has been having a outstanding season at QB this year. Pokey Harris has also really stepped it up this year. Biggest surprise is our O-line. We are smaller than last year and start I think, 3 Sophomores and 2 Juniors. This GRC team is on a mission this year and believe they will win this game by 2 TD's +.

This should be a very interesting game. I believe pass defense for both teams will be key. Another interesting aspect of this game will be if they actually play at Lafayatte's new field (which I hope will be ready). If not, at T/C where GRC runs to 4-0.

GRC pulls away by the end of the 3rd Qtr:

GRC - 38

Lafayette - 28

This game will be played at Tates Creek. Lafayette's field will not open until October 1st when Lafayette plays host to Boyle Co.

Many thanks to Papa for the good information about the field condidtion. Playing at TC will give GRC good opprotunity to know the conditions when they play there on Oct 15th.

Expecting to see a good crowd and good football this Friday!

Yes thanks papa. Not sure if I will get to go to this game, if not hope to listen ( 107.7) to my favorit announcers, Graham Johns, and Linny Midden, they are the best!!!:thumb::thumb:

George Rogers remains undefeated after their win by one over Lafayette.

This game is the Ch 27 game of the week. GRC is averaging 40+ points a game. Opponents have scored 18, 19 and 21 points. The fast start has elevated Clark to No. 6 in this week’s Associated Press Class 6A rankings. The Cards, ranked No. 8 the past two weeks, made two jumps following last week’s 49-21 victory over Dunbar.

The Generals (2-2) are back on track after opening the season with two consecutive setbacks. Lafayette came away with a 45-21 win over Franklin County last week and defeated Mercer County 27-13 two weeks ago.The Generals’ main offensive treat is all-purpose running back Bubba Johnson, who has rushed for 397 yards and eight touchdowns to open the season.

GRC will depend on Dini, Rogers, Skinner and Harris on the offensive side.

I will not be able to attend the game and hope to give updates.
