I always use a knife to cut the skin down to the splinter. My be a little rough on a 2 year old, my boys never seemed to mind, once it was over and the splinter was gone, so was the pain.

You are dead on. This is my belief as well. I am grounded in my religious beliefs, if my kids and their friends are engaged by going to the contemporary services, listening to christian rock, rap or praise, then that is the goal. No one said it was wrong, our great country allows us to worship as we need. As I have said, if these are the avenues that help to bring the unchurched to Christ, then we are winning the battle. I can still get a message from a guy without a suit and tie. I can still get a message singing from a screen. I just miss the reverence that went with the services of old.

I think it is foolish to believe that anyone has or is tapping my conversations. I have never given anyone a reason to do so. I don't believe that our military is sitting around saying,.... "Hey, did you get the tap up on the Smiff guy in Danville, KY? I hear he argued a call at the little league field monday night, could be a problem! Get on it! Do you really believe that the Government has listened to your hone conversations? I really would like to know!

While I don't disagree with you. It is just like a Contemperary service, neither does much for me. With that said, if those styles help to bring someone unchurced to Christ, then I am all for it. I just miss the 4 part harmony, I miss the Hymnal and singing from a book instead of a screen, I miss a half tuned piano, this just screamed worship. I also understand that a screen, powerpoint and cushened chairs scream worship in the 21st century!

:clap: :thumb: :puke: Hey why don't you ask those thousands that died on 9/11 if they have any problems with the govt. listening in on phone calls and emails that deal with bombs, plots, terror attacks, etc.... Oh wait, you can't! My conversations and emails don't deal with any of these subjects. So they WON'T be invading my rights. If they are listening in on ILLEGALs, does that do something to their cival rights? They would be criminals and therefore not be entitled to any rights. Less is More.

Are there any newer Gospel Quartets running around? I have most all of the Gaithers Reunion cds. I prefer the harmonizing sounds from four guys standing around a mike. Sometimes I feel like the older Gospel music is more grounded in scripture. But that may not be fair as I don't know all of this new music that you all are talking about. My ipod has everything from Gospel to Rap. I have a very diverse musical loves. I also have most of the time life, I can Only Imagine cd sets.

I am with you, but I see a difference in that Ms. Cali and the audience KNEW that tough(?) questions could be asked and that truthful answers should be given, everyone knew that. No one bought a ticket to the Chicks concert expecting anything but music. The post comment, concert interview was after the fact, not the reason for it. Life is full of people that agree and disagree with each others opinions, if I choose to support Prejean and not the chicks holds no underlieing conspiracy. Only that I share the same thoughts as one and not the other. Movie stars, Athletes, News Reporters.....:clap:

I am still trying to figure out why we are taking the word of a disgruntled ex-inner circle member. Then how does one prove this claim? Did Floyd write a check? Send cash via Fed Ex? Even if it shows that Floyd withdrew $1,000 from his checking account, how does one prove what he did with it? All it takes is $1,000 to get an OJ Mayo type kid into your program? I would have thought it would be much more than that.

I don't get "exhibit A". I am not to smart. I do know that the difference in situations here draw NO comparisons with the Chicks and Ms Cali. So if you think it is the same, here is the solution.. Ms. Cali - Do not move in with or near same sex people. Chicks - Do not live somewhere that your leader is such a loser. I don't get your tie to the chicks, but again, this is in NO way a similar situation. Mr. Exhibit A - I don't listen to or watch Bette Midler, George Clooney, NWA,...the list goes on. Do these views and actions unfairly attack these people that I disagree with?

Bring back the Gospel of old. The Florida Boys, Masters Five, Stamps Quartet, the Happy Goodmans, so on and so forth!

Somehow this always gets back to the Chicks. If people choose to boycott anything she does, then that is their right. But here is the difference, she was ASKED a question that she answered honestly. There is not as much out cry as a lot of people share those same beliefs. The Chicks "offered" their political views. I don't pay for someones CD so I can hear their political views. People boycotted them as their right, because they did not share the Chicks views. The Chicks were more like Obismal running around the world apologizing for America. Quit going back to the poor Chicks. I have not listened to them or purchased their music since that incident, MY RIGHT.

First of all, I believe that our founding fathers gave us a fairly solid foundation. How much govt. regulation do you want? I do not need the government to tell someone that spent their money to open a business how they should run that business. If you want to eat at McDonalds but want them to offer more healthy food, then open your own restaraunt. Don't have the govt. tell them what kind of oil to use. I can't eat movie popcorn anymore because they were forced to make it healthier. Why, if it is not something that you want don't buy it. If your kids are crying for a happy meal and you won't let them have it, blame yourself, not the restaraunt. Laws and rules are important, legislating common sense is STUPID! No comparrison to your example. When the govt gives me my car, then they can tell me to wear a seat belt. Less is More!

While I agree with you and you are on point...Kevin Bacon even quoted a few of these, they still new the rules ahead of time. Like moving into a house next to railroad tracks and then complaining about the noise. I would guess that it has more to do with the music and types of dancing rather than dancing itself. IMO
