FalconBacker said it best as always.....there were some improvements on this Falcons team, but it's still disheartening to watch them lose. I'm certainly ready for some Kentucky teams, that's for certain! Later.

As of late, it hasn't been an issue for Fort Campbell, but last season there were plenty of folks that thought Fort Campbell was running up the score.....even with most of the starters out. Later.

The Fort Campbell Falcons host the Pearl Cohn Firebirds. How do you think this game will go and why? I'm hoping that the Falcons pull things together and get the win, but I don't want it to be an easy win for them......they need to fight for this win. They need to see what happens when they work hard together, as a team and come together for something bigger than themselves, bigger than the individuals that some of them are playing like. Right now, Pearl Cohn sits at 1-1, but are a favorite to head to the state finals for their class with a National Ranking of 981 (per Max Preps). Later.

I agree with everything Falcon Backer said. I'm NOT in any way, shape, or form comparing this team to any of the teams in recent memory, but.....there was something lacking. Too many first contact tackles missed, forcing other teammates to cover some ground and get to the ball carrier. We know the swagger is there, but it's not doing any good. When boys are more concerned with how they look on the field than what's actually happening on the field, it's time to wake up. I'm 100% confident that Coach Berner and his staff can corral the individuals and make them team players. The boys really need to come together off of the field to make this a cohesive unit on the field. I would like to single out one player on the Falcons.....TJ Tucker, that kick played with AMAZING heart. He got beat up the entire game and kept coming back. Chance Von Dette has the best punting foot I've seen on a Fort Campbell player in a LONG time.......but historically, Fort Campbell doesn't punt, they ram it down your throats and score points. Boys, if you're reading this (and I'm pretty sure you are), keep your heads up.....the season is NOT over, but you need to keep your heads and hearts in the game and play football. Congrats to Coach Matthews and the CPA Lions. They are a class act like none other. Always giving encouraging words after the game win or lose. Action Dan, you're right.....CPA beasts up on two Kentucky state champs, that's a blemish for Kentucky football. Later.

I agree. The Falcons started to get things going in the second half against CPA....there were some pretty poor calls coupled with some mental mistakes that kept them from coming back and winning that game......so I look for the Falcons to be all over Kenwood this Friday. However, I don't think the fact that they're not #1 in the BGP poll has anything to do with them playing with a mean streak. Yup, all black jerseys......except for the numbers and such. I was informed that they'll be wearing black pants too. Later.

To be honest.....I don't really think it is a throwback. I think they used to wear a larger FC with no oval circle around it. I was told that this year they were gonna go with a throwback decal, but I think that I was fibbed to.......only because the person telling me doesn't really know. Later.

The Fort Campbell Falcons will wear "throwback" helmets all season and will be decked out in black for one game this season. Later.

Fort Campbell certainly showed some signs of vulnerability in the Jamboree last Friday and struggled a little with CPA's passing game last season, but I still think that the Falcons will pull this one out. Low score though and it won't be a blow-out, I'm terrible with numbers so this is all you get. Later.
