Final

Sorry to hear that the other Falcons fell tonight. Tough loss but these don't count until District...Get up and correct the mistakes. Go Falcons!!!

There are several mistakes to work on. They are young and to be honest this wasn’t completely unexpected. With Tre out, I think there were only two or three returning starters on offense and it showed. On a positive note, the defense played much better than in their scrimmages. One of CPAs TD came on a kickoff return and the other two were in large part do to a break down in the secondary. Also positive was that the Falcons never gave up and fought hard to the end.

I think with some experience to workout the kinks and once a couple of injured players return the Falcons will be just fine.

Pretty good football game to watch, especially second-half, just came out on the wrong side of the scoreboard in this one. The 20 game winning streak is over which was built mainly by players that have already graduated. It is time for this team to establish their identity and get a winning streak started.

Special teams were a huge part of the game: CPA hit a 40 yard FG in the first half and FC gave up a huge kick off return to start the second half. Those two plays in particular stand out as game changers.

I agree with FC, get a couple of key injured players back and things will be fine.

Looks like LCA will have their hands full next Friday.

Other than Powell, who are the key injured players out?

We are without Tre Powell, a starting defensive end and also the starting running back was out for the CPA game. Three vital players that I hope get healthy and back on the field sooner than later. Powell is the best player on the team; leading tackler, KO / Punt return, All-State receiver. He was the best player on the team last season also, and that is saying a lot considering team mate Antonio Andrews was selected Mr. Football.

It was a tough loss for our Falcons.

They'll pull together, but they really have to buy into what Coach Berner is puttin' out there.

Later.
