  1. I think most 10th region fans knew that Mason was going to be there at the end and will have something to say about who wins the region. That is why most people on here listed them as a regional contender even while they struggled. Like them or not more years than not the road from the the 10th to the Sweet Sixteen goes through the Mason County team. It doesn't just have to go through Maysville literally every year.
  2. I believe GRC and Montgomery are tied for the top spot and there is a coin toss to decide who is 1 and 2. Someone may know for sure on this.
  3. Looks like both Mason County and their fans are making a come back.
  4. WOW two very questionable calls against Trinity but if Hicks makes the free throws game over.
  5. Probably like a lot of people I thought Trinity would win. I like Central and think they have great team. It would have been nice to have seen this great matchup end without controversy. Just from reading the quotes from the player Taylor and Coach Feldhaus you have to believe that they thought the refs gave them a lucky break. But it is what it is and we will just have to wait for the rematch in the Sweeet sixteen if it happens.
  6. A couple of tough games for GRC this week with Rowan and Dixie Heights plus a game at N. Laurel. GRC has beaten Rowan once this year and I like their team. Given it is at Rowan this game scares me. So unfortunately I will go with Rowan winning this time and will be very happy if I am wrong.
  7. Congrats Adam! It has been great this season to see you finally get your time on the court.
  8. Any win is a good win. Howard fouling out really changed the game for the last minutes. I believe Fatkin has had more contact issues the last few games than I have ever seen before from anyone. He had problems twice in this game.
  9. Not sure but I think the 1940 Hazel Green team that won might be the Hazel Green Academy that used to be in Wolfe.
  10. Pretty sure Central would be too much for Montgomery.
  11. Just don't see Montgomery winning this one, but it would be a nice win for the 10th if they could. Central by 10.
  12. Every year before the MLK game, GRC honors a distingushed local citizen. This year they honored 91 year old Harvey Robinson. After the GRC players shook his hand, the Meade County team did the same. Very nice and classy move on their part.
  13. You covered a lot of ground with that post. Well done.
  14. My top five are Stenzel, Fatkin, Prewitt, Monroe and McGovney. You can put them in any order and I won't disagree with the sequence.
  15. Would agree at the moment GRC is probably number one in the 10th based on their season resume but there is not that much distance between any of the top teams. GRC and Montgomery each won on their home court, the next matchup might be on a neutral floor at Bourbon in the district and there might be a game on Montgomery's home court in the regional. If they meet in the regional I give the edge to Montgomery but a few other teams, Pendleton, Harrison, Brossart, etc., will have a chance. I still think Mason will be a factor by then also.
  16. You were correct and I was very pleasantly surprised. As stated in the prediction thread I would and did enjoy the game you predicted with a double digit margin much more than my prediction of a win by a few points. Thought the technicals were the final turning point but by that time I thought the flow was turning GRC's way anyway.
  17. Have heard that this game is still on for tonight even though both schools are out.
