GRC led this game by 13 with 4:00 left to play. Tates Creek hustled, clawed, and fought to pull within 3 with :58 secs left until the Cards sealed the deal.

 

Not a spectacular win, but a win it is.

Howard going out with 5+ minutes in the 4th hurt us. Also Adam had to sit alot second quarter with contact problems. Hats off to TC for not giving up. Agree with MNCM, ugly win, but a win is a win. Cards improve to 19-2.

Any win is a good win. Howard fouling out really changed the game for the last minutes. I believe Fatkin has had more contact issues the last few games than I have ever seen before from anyone. He had problems twice in this game.

I'd bet a lot of teams would like to have GRC'S ugly wins. I thought Clark Co played pretty well in the first half until Fadkin went out and didn't do bad in the second half until Howard went out with 5 minutes to go in the game. We missed some easy shots and missed free throws in the last few minutes and it almost cost us. You have to give them credit, they're winners.

What about the 3/4 shot by Bopper to end the half that they didn't count. What a shot!!!

The Cardinals (19-2) led for all but two minutes of a close contest and held on down the stretch for a 55-49 victory over Tates Creek (9-10) Friday night at Norton Gymnasium. The win was the 17th straight for the hosts.

 

Stenzel finished with 13 points and six rebounds.Teammate Adam Fatkin put the icing on the cake with a late steal and by hitting the second of two free throws for the final margin. Fatkin led Clark with 15 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double. Charlie Rogers also scored in double figures for the Cards with 11 points and six rebounds. Dominic VanCleve scored eight points for the Cards, while Taylor Howard added six and Blake Roberts two.

 

A 15-4 third-quarter performance built the lead the Cardinals would need to hold on down the stretch.

Gibson led Tates Creek with 17 points and six rebounds, while Daiquan Epps added 11 for the Commodores. Jordan Fucci added nine points and six rebounds.
