We picked a bad day to have a bad day. That being said, I look for Raceland to play focused and a little edgy. I do not think there will be a hangover. If we play like practice has gone so far, I think Raceland fans will be happy. It is interesting to see how many doubters come out just because we didn’t play as well as we are capable of last week. I still think we are every bit as good as we thought we were prior to the Paintsville game. I honestly think the loss was good for us. We haven’t been this focused since team camp.

We played Ashland and I watched Johnson Central play on our Bye week. Ashland has skill speed but JC has physical skill speed. Ashland's key to victory is to strike early and often with their speed. JC's key to victory is clock management and sustained drives that limit Ashland's touches. All of this talk to say I think JC wins by 2+ scores.

Are the fan bases asleep or indifferent?

I can’t believe this game is not getting more chatter on here.

I think Russell wins a dog fight. It’ll be close as last year.

I do not want to sound wishy washy but even though I feel we are 2 TD’s better, this is a rival game and you can throw records out the window and whoever is favored, etc. This game will be physical, slobber knocker, and intense. This is the type of game that makes me wish I could still suit up.

I told someone I felt we were 2+ TD’s better. We shall see in 6 days.

I am hoping that since we play the second strongest schedule in 1A, we are prepared for this one. Paintsville is as good as anyone we will play all year. I hope we have enough for them.

Friday. I am told that we contacted Fairview about changing it to Thursday but it was not changed.

The second season begins in 2 days......

Paintsville at Hazard.

Fairview is averaging 4.56 points a game and surrendering 45.67 per game. They have been shut out 4 times and only have 4 TD’s all season. I just don’t see this one being close at all.

I haven’t heard. I went straight home. I was hungry.

This was a competitive game. Congratulations to Devils. It was hard for the Rams with a split squad since we were also playing at home vs West Carter, too.

WOW!!!!! I did not see this coming.

I really do root for and pull for our own District but I think Hazard wins this one.
