We think the Brossart-Paris game in Alexandria has the potential to be a dandy.

Paris comes in at 4-3 overall and 3-0 in District 5 play, with wins over Berea (51-8) on the road, and Bracken County (9-0) and Nicholas County (28-6) at home, while the Mustangs are also 4-3 overall and 1-1 in district play with a most recent win over Bracken County (28-6) at home and a 28-14 loss to Nicholas County away.

Paris has seemingly improved weekly, while the Mustangs put together four good quarters for the first time this season, last week in their win over Bracken County.

This game has big playoff implications for the Mustangs, who with that one loss, need a win to keep their district title hopes alive, and to stay off the bus come the first Friday night in November.

The game will be played at Bob Miller Stadium, on the campus of the Campbell County Middle School in Alexandria, with game time being at 7:30pm.

I agree with the above post- I just had a tough time getting it posted.

Paintsville at Hazard is the headline game.

Frankfort at Louisville Holy Cross is a good district battle between two teams on the edge of the 1A top ten.

Paris at Brossart is certainly an interesting matchup, especially after Paris' big win over Nicholas County last week.

I doubt that any game going on is bigger than Paintsville and Hazard.
