This once fierce rivalry has lost its luster. Any opinions on this game?

Anyone?

Running clock!

Running clock by the 10 minute mark of the 2nd qt.

It's sad what's become of this series and where it'll likely stay for the foreseeable future. It wasn't very long ago that this rivalry had a lot of heat to it. It'll be all Rams, all night long on Friday. If this were a boxing match, it would be an early round tko win for Raceland.

I just want to see Fairview compete and hit the Rams back. If you're a Raceland fan, you hope they TCB early and get the starters outta there so the underclassmen see plenty of action. Gotta make it out of this one healthy because there's a huuuuge game next week.

I'm glad you guys love my "TCB". I am sorry I haven't used it much.

TCB!!!

Can the new coach at Fairview get things turned around? This has not been a good first year, that's for sure. The lack of competitiveness looks really bad in a program that has been competitive even in down years in the past.

Fairview is averaging 4.56 points a game and surrendering 45.67 per game. They have been shut out 4 times and only have 4 TD’s all season. I just don’t see this one being close at all.

Raceland big, no running clock would be a big surprise IMO.

I don't think that it's coaching that will or not turn things around at Westwood. Frankly, I'm surprised that the school system hasn't folded and had to go in the Boyd Co. school system. I have heard that the State dept. of education has taken over, sent a person from Frankfort in to set up, run the school system. Much like what Greenup County had to do several years back.

As for the football team / program , their number of players are extremely low. Fairview had some pretty talented kids that are / were very young in the Jr. High and JFL programs. Fairview's coaches are the Cooksey's, that name is a long standing one at Fairview schools. The father, Rex Cooksey was the head coach for years there and now his son has taken that title with Rex as the assistant / defensive coach there. I may be mistaken but I think that there's a Cooksey as the head coach in every sport at Fairview now.o hate it for the community and people, kids in Westwood.

Through the years, I have certainly had my problems with Fairview and my disdain for them was well known on here./ bgp. Those feelings mostly were with their coach / turned principle / turned superintendent and the AD / elementary principal that he hired at that time at Fairview. …. is jmo that the greed of a few cost the entire program, school system at Fairview. Those were well reported and documented in our local newspaper and regional T.V. station here

I do hate it for the people and the kids of Westwood and would love to see them keep the Fairview school system, teams and get the entire school system built back.

As for this game, I am certainly not going to try and stir the pot, I'm not sure if there has been any Fairview fans posting this season.

Should be a running clock very early, by the half if not the 1st qtr.. Then again, you never know about high school kids and on any given Friday night …….

GO RAMS !
