Good job Black Bears. How was the attendance at the game? I'm anxious to go to their first home game. I can't wait to see that gym when it is full.

Do the Fugates have any girls? I'm always on the look out for future daughter-in-laws. :jump:

Congrats to Breathitt. The Engineers had a great season and I was shocked at this score. It seemed alot like last weeks game against us (Harlan Co.) In a blink of an eye, Breathitt put a bunch of points on the board. I thought that Estill was gonna take over in the 3rd when they controlled the ball for the first 9 minutes or so.

Best game I've ever listen to! Great job by Knox Central and Bell County. Too bad somebody had to lose this one. Big battle!

I think if Estill can score first and get their 2 point conversion right off the bat then they will control the game. Fugate will eventually score but the Neers will chug chug on down the field while eating away at the clock and will win this game. I predict they'll be singing their "choo choo" song in Jackson Friday night! Estill by 2.

This was a great game to watch. I thought the Bears earned back some respect from their first meeting. They really played hard this game and although we lost, it was one we could live with because they never gave up. Of course they made mistakes, but the effort and enthusiasm was there this time around. I really really thought we had this game right up until the 4th quarter. Channing Fugate is just a phenominal player and he has total faith in his O-line. He doesn't hesitate when he runs, he just GOES and knows that the hole will be there. This first year's Black Bear team has laid a strong foundation for us to build on. It's been thrilling to watch this team grow and witness our county come together to support them. I can't wait till next year!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO Black Bears!

I agree with Neers, I don't believe that Breathitt was 40 points better than we were then, although they were that night. It wasn't the fact that the Black Bears lost, in our last meeting that was so disturbing, but it was the manner in which they did it. Our very first ever home game, huge crowd, tons of hype, and very high expectations were all factors. The kids just flopped. It was emabarrassing....to all of us. I'm so glad that they get a chance to redeem themselves and get to swap licks with Breathitt again. This will be a different ball game. I believe the Bears can beat them. I hope that they BELIEVE IT!

I don't see as much "hype" in these posts as I see "hope". We HOPE that they can play like they're capable. We HOPE they can redeem themselves. We HOPE they don't hang their heads when they get down. We HOPE they have learned from the last meeting. They've got 5 days to prepare. I HOPE they win! .....I hope I get over the stomach virus soon.:cry:

Great win for the Black Bears! Great turn out by the Black Bear Nation! Wayne County put up a good fight. Their running back #22 is a ball of dynamite. FAST! Dylan Smith (So) had one heck of a game! 100 yard TD! Calton(So) and Ball(Jr) done a great job of putting pressure on their QB. We can see improvement in our Bears each week and I think we may be peaking at the right time. I'm anxious for the boys to get a chance to play Breathitt again.
