  1. I'm nervous. They are not gonna open the gates to park until 5PM and won't let people in until 5:30PM. This will definately be a community event and should be a great show! I hope that after this first home game that our community & business leaders will recognize the need for a nice big stadium! I'm saying the Black Bears by a touchdown.:ylsuper:
  2. It's at Cawood High School's old field. We don't have a new field....yet. You do NOT want a woman giving you directions, or at least this woman. I'll let somebody else take that one.
  3. Good win for the Black Bears!! :thumb: Impressive support by the Black Bear Nation! Whatever Larkey said or did at half time worked! I can NOT wait for our very first home game! Watch out Breathitt.
  4. I'm pulling for Rockastle!! :thumb: I'll be for Bell when they play a Lexington team.
  5. I dont think anyone is underestimating Graham or Lee High. The Black Bear coaching staff will have our Bears prepared and ready Friday Night. The Black Bear Nation will be traveling big in support. :ylsuper:
  6. You are correct Bear_Paw. The Graham kid is supersonic. He makes very fast people look not so fast at all. But, the Bears will bring that DEFENSE Friday night and good defense will prevail.
  7. The Black Bears beat the Fleming County team 32-0 and their defense is coming around, better each game, they were down right awesome in this game. Time to get focused on the next game, make the necessary corrections, and go over there Friday night at Lee High and do the same(shut them out too). GO BLACK BEARS.
  8. I am sure HDE would have some stats later. GO BLACK BEARS:dancingpa
  9. thePup00, 4 hour trip to fleming with gas prices at $5 per gallon.
  10. arrows68, I too hope our QB is okay, I know he came in a couple plays following that and I hope Larkey with a big lead was just being protective. He had a banged up wrist prior to the game. Again, I too hope he is okay.
  11. Very impressive defense tonight stopping Fleming 9 times in the backfield during the first half and probably that many sacks on the QB total for the game. The Fleming QB went out with an injury after a big sack by Calton, hope he is ok. A lot of young Black Bear underclassmen play during the second half. The Black Bear Nation totaled approximately 150 at Fleming tonight despite the obstacles. Go Black Bears.:ylsuper:
  12. Harlan County Black bears 32 Fleming County 0:thumb:
  13. :ylsuper:HC -23......Fleming-0 at the half :ylsuper: Go Black Bears:ylsuper:
  14. Harlan County Black Bears 23 Fleming County 0 with 1 minute remaining in the 2nd qtr:ylsuper:
  15. Harlan County Black Bears 16 Fleming County 0 with 6 minutes remaining in the second quarter:ylsuper:
  16. WFSR, but I'll be there Lord willing. GO BLACK BEARS and the BLACK BEAR NATION.:ylsuper:
  17. Middlesboro 33 Lee High 10 1:57 remaining in the 4th
  18. So...is there any gas in Flemingsburg? If we get there can we get back? IF we get stuck who volunteers for my kids to stay with them?
  19. Good post Lungbuster!:thumb: It's time to get to work here in Harlan County. Nothing good ever came easy and all these "little bears" need to get dedicated and take advantage of a wonderful opportunity. These older boys can lead the way. Success breeds success. :ylsuper:
  20. I was shocked by the outcome. I would have never dreamed with that group out there that they would have lost. We need Marcus to take care of that ankle and let it heal. How did Cody and Stephen do?
  21. Bayshore, Do you think that it would be beneficial to HHS football in the future for our two middle school football teams to play this year? Other than just reviving an old, but great inter-county rivalry, I don't think the Patriots would benefit.
  22. I watched this young man limp off the sidelines and into the locker room last Friday and return with his gear on. He so wanted to help his team as they were struggling. My heart went out to him then and especially now. Prayers for this young man.
