We love the rain!!! Seems like it rained about every Friday last year.

The Bears offense will be fine this year Uncle Rico. They'll just take their sweet time about scoring. All you really need is 4 yards at a time. Surely with that big O line we can do that. We've got some backs who if they get loose will gooooo. The defense comes in fresh, ready to battle, does their thing and there ya go! Ball game. Harlan County 28 Southwestern 12 I hear Jenkins' kicking is picking up.

WOW! Listened to this one on the web. This was a very exciting game. Sounds like Larkey has got a lot of good support in North Laurel and have proved tonight that they are not to be overlooked. Congrats to the Jags! I'm sure dad is proud of his boys tonight!

One of the middle school football teams only had 3 8th graders last year. But as 3wishes stated next year's 8th class should be huge and I might add, they are a talented bunch. This year's Freshmen class ain't too shabby either. I believe there are 16. The numbers are a little lower this year because some kids figured out that there's a little more to it than they were willing to give. These younger kids coming up will have a clear understanding of what's expected of them.

Heartfelt prayers for this family and the community during this sad time.

What sort of events did they have at midnight madness last night? Do you all still feel like this year's team will be better than last year's team? Has Bell went out in full pads yet?

The kids had a great time. Nice weather, good food, good music, and good company. Had plenty of help from all corners of the county. Their youth camp was a great success as well. The coaches really really put in their time this week for the kids here. They've put in some long hours this first week. As well as being one of the most successful coaches in the state, apparently Coach Larkey is quite an impressive corn-hole player! I HEARD he put the smack down on one team inparticular. She may still be pouting about it and his team mate probably slept on the couch last night.

They've both worked hard during the off season. I'm sure Williamson will be throwing in his leisure time while he is away. Brewer will continue to work hard. I hope they both do well. As we found out last year, an injury can happen quickly and whoever the reserves are will need to be ready. I'm sure Coach Creech will be working with incoming Freshmen, Maggard, as well. I think he has a lot of potential.

:lol: Must've been somebody else. Heard they had a good turn out today. I wonder what the total was. I would guess the the weeding out process of who really wants to be there has begun.

Thanks for the bump Ram. Well, we've got that first year behind us, Coach Larkey and staff has worked the boys hard this winter and the boys are vastly stronger than last year. They've got familiar with this new system and I, for one, am ready to go watch the Bears jack some jaws. Football season is upon us! :dancingpa

Yes he'll be a frosh. He's gotten quite a bit stronger. Needs to work on his speed though, as he does NOT run a 4.5. :sssh: I'm anxious to see how he does in high school as well.

Carton should be Bell's best back next year, if he gets the touches, as well as one of the better backs in Eastern Kentucky.

:puke: Baseball games or rings? It's hard to tell which one of these would make someone so upset as to post such a pompous comment. I'd like to hear more about Whitley's football team this upcoming year as they are in our district.
