Fugate from Breathitt would be number one, then who would be the other four.

Shane Pack from Lawrence Co is set to have a great year. He's about 6'1 220 and getting looks from schools. If there are any college coaches on here then you should look into him. He has the potential to be a D1 punter too I think.

Fugate is one of the best backs I've seen from this part of the state.

I think Varney is back at Belfry and I thought he was in Lee's shadow pub wise but one heck of a back!

I thought the Cross kid from Rowan Co flew under the radar too. He's good nice speed.

Seems like Ashland has 2 good backs back too.

Wardrup was a QB, but the 2nd half of the season, they moved him to TB and he had over 1,000 yards rushing. He really developed quickly as a RB. Extremely athletic kid.

If you can believe it, I used that in high school on the school paper for (Outlaw Coach needs to read this because he blocked for these guys) Roger Broyles and Leonard Stallings.

 

I was going to list T.J. Green.

 

Dylon Smith is most definitely a playmaker though. Cody Taylor and Marcus McMillian will be on this list in another year.

 

Andrew Link had a really good season for Harlan last year and will be a senior. I also expect Ben Cornett to have a breakout year for Harlan.

Dominic Carton from Bell Co. will IMO be the best from the mountains behind only fugate. If he stays healthy and out of trouble, the kid is a load to bring down. Serious talent if he can keep his head on straight and stay motivated. Cory Davenport as well should have a good year. Also a freshman back, if he has a good summer could make some noise for Bell Co.

Ryan Fritts also from Corbin, if he can recover from the season ending torn ACL.

Rashard Carter from Ashland will be a Senior for the 2010 season. A definite force to be reckoned with. It's amazing to watch him play. Rushed for 1500 yds in 2009 and didn't even play a full game sometimes.
