Top 5 RB's next season in Eastern Ky.

Featured Replies

Rashard Carter from Ashland will be a Senior for the 2010 season. A definite force to be reckoned with. It's amazing to watch him play. Rushed for 1500 yds in 2009 and didn't even play a full game sometimes.

:thumb: If he can stay on the field, he is as good as the Ashland area has to offer. I think he goes really wild on the field this season. Got to say out of All of EKY, it's most likely Fugate at the top.

This might sound crazy but you might want to keep an eye on the two backs for Greenup County this year, we all know that the option means big numbers for RB's and Lyle and Waugh could have a huge year.

I think TJ Green from Harlan Co. would also be in my top 5 list. He should put up big time numbers with a full season as the Bears number 1 rushing option.

McCreary Central.

Thanks! :thumb:

Kelley at Raceland will surprise a lot of people.

Rice from Russell will be a hand full for a lot of teams.

Barr who is now at Raceland had a nice season last year. And may be a surprise in the area.

Lyle and Waugh at Greenup County should thrive in Greenup County's new offense.

I will have to agree with Lyle and Waugh from Greenup will shock some people this year ,and put up some big numbers.

The only thing hindering the above mentioned backs from Raceland is the fact that they will have 6 backs to share the load and may keep the numbers below others in the area. Team stats above individual stats.

I agree, but as a Raceland fan, you have got to love the possibility of six backs rotating in and out in the second half against tired defenses. :ylsuper:

I like the way you talk! Especially when we go down and play Bluto's team.

Mason County Sophmore Josh Harris,Remember this name he will be a stud. Most people might not know who he is yet because he ran behind another good one last year in Thompson.

Is Mason County considered "Eastern Kentucky"? I don't mean this as a smart comment, just thought that you guys were too far west.

I think they are in no man's land, they are not traditionally considered Northern Kentucky, and not traditionally considered Eastern or North-Eastern Kentucky. But, they can play in this game, someone has to include them.

We love you guys, mhighfield! Come sup with us!!!!!!!

If you can believe it, I used that in high school on the school paper for (Outlaw Coach needs to read this because he blocked for these guys) Roger Broyles and Leonard Stallings.

I was going to list T.J. Green.

Dylon Smith is most definitely a play maker though. Cody Taylor and Marcus McMillian will be on this list in another year.

Andrew Link had a really good season for Harlan last year and will be a senior. I also expect Ben Cornett to have a breakout year for Harlan.

TJ will benefit from a full year at one position, I can't remember when he wasn't split on offense!

I have said several times that Dylon Smith would impress if he got the chance to run the ball, which Coach Larkey starting letting him do toward the end of the season, but I think we will need him as a threat at wide out to clear the lanes some for the running backs! If he plays mostly receiver, I look for Marcus McMillian to breakout. I believe Coty Taylor will play behind TJ, he's a little more thunder than lightning. And here's another for HDE, if we get the right combination we will have the "Perfect Storm".

Harlan will need a Perfect Storm to compete in 5A. I look for things to just keep getting better and better there. They have all kinds of numbers and Larkey will develop some players.
