Why does everyone hate Johnson Central?
Golfer Dad replied to Ryandamaste5's topic in KY Football (High School)
No one likes a winner. Ever hear a team get booed who was going to get bet by everyone. Everyone claps for them, but bring in a winner and it is boo's. -
Should you keep a senior who is not going to play just because he is a senior or do you cut him. Most parents with a senior expect them to play and might try and cause problems.
-
Do most schools look for coaches with completely different styles of play or are there other reason so many vacancies every year. It seems alot of girls coaches leave to take on a boys program.
-
Is this for sure information? I wish Rachel the very best in either case.

Ashland "0" Ironton as much as they want. I'll say 49

Russell 49 Greenup County 13
Golfer Dad replied to The_Generals_Soldier's topic in KY Football (High School)
Good win for Russell. But this is not the power house team that Russell has had in the past. It might very well be the quickest team they have had in awhile. Look forward to the Mason Co. game. With the schedule that Russell plays this might be their first real test. Abrams is a player!!!! -
Trimble at Raceland in the 16th.
-
I will agree with you on Dillon, but we will have to agree to disagree on the rest.
-
Russell will loose to Ashland and Raceland this year. They are weaker this year than in years past. Abrams is a good back but where is the beef up front that they usually have. With rhere style of offense they need some quick big blockers leading the way.

I too have had alot of respect for Coach Fraley until I found out the circumstances surrounding how he got the Greenup job. -
AGREE!! This will be the challenge for the new coach (coaches)

Sunday 8am aau basketball. Shooterx3 is that before or after church services. -
Wasn't just an 8th grader that couldn't handle it. try soph. juniors and seniors. And Simpson was handling the ball 75% of the time. She is a good player but still has alot of room for improvement. Russell is not and has not been a one player show. I believe a soph. averaged the same amount of points and more rebounds than she did. Russell can be good this year. The fact remains that they need a quality point guard.
-
Who-ever they hire, He will need to bring some dicipline with him. After watching them at Fairview this group was out of control mouthing their coaches and each other and kicking chairs after the game. They should Beg Bob Sparks to come out of retirment and take the job.
-
Then you remember that for two Qtrs. They didn't get the ball past half court. Hatchet-ized or not that's not very strong. And things will be the same again.
-
You make some good observations, must be close to the program. Simpson is a good player and I agree needs to be inside more. The 2 eight graders are getting better but can't handle the ball well enough to handle full court pressure. Parsley averaged a double/double last year and seems to be stronger this year maybe she can stay out from under the boards and get more rebounds and points. Ferguson is a good defensive player that needs to learn how to shoot. Russell will have the samo MO this year as last. Can't handle the full court heat. Just ask Rowan Co.
-
If Russell could get a quality point guard (which they don't have) with their size in Simpson and Parsley they may surprise some people. The way it is now Simpson has to bring the ball up the court.
-
Could the lack of talent this year have weighed in on his decision. After watching them play this summer, this might be the weakest BC team in a long time. Good luck to Coach Zornes!!!

I' ll stick to my pre-season pick and remind all that I said she was the best player in the 16th. Congrats Samantha.
