  1. When will you learn the number of kids has nothing to do with how good a team is? It's the quality of the numbers.
  2. IDK about Boone but it's a small football class for Dixie at the freshmen level. As for rebuilding on varsity, down years happen. When it comes to public schools, the talent levels are very cyclical.
  3. No you did by bringing up people "beat[ing] on you" for you calling all coaches tools when that's not the case (not even in the case of your daughter's bf's coach).
  4. Scott got on the board first after the Dixie keeper was caught off her line following a botched goal kick by Dixie. Probably around 10 minutes or so into the game. Later in the first half, Scott had a corner kick that was heading towards the Dixie keeper. A Dixie defender went up for it instead of letting the keeper catch it, and it deflected off her head to a Scott player on the back post about 6 yards out who put it away for a 2-0 lead. Even later in the first half, Dixie's #99 , Ciara Sturm, played a long ball switch to #15 , Rachel Hatfield, who slotted the ball home from the right side. 2-1. Neither team really threatened in the second half with good scoring chances. Scott goals were scored by #7 Anna Clephane and #38 Kylie Meyer (I do not remember who scored which goal).
  5. Even though HHS is down this year, the ticket price for SK/HHS would be astronomical if dynamic pricing existed.
  6. And once again, you failed to answer the question many have asked. Your fictional story proves that you and the boy are bad at time management if you all are letting one event affected an unrelated event. You can laugh all you want but @GreyFox and I blew your excuse out of the water with little effort.
  7. That analogy doesn't work... Say 3pm is the time grades are discussed. Little boy doesn't get seen until 3:45. Leaves at 3:50. That has absolutely no bearing on when he leaves your house (I'm assuming that's where he is to visit your daughter). Just because I get stuck at work until 5:30 doesn't mean I don't show up until 8:30 the next day. I just cut 30 minutes out of another part of my night. So I'm sorry if little boy feels entitled to spend x amount of time at home but that's not how life works. If he's 45 minutes late getting back home, cut the hangout time down by 45 minutes. And stop making excuses for the kid that can't manage his time or wake up on time.
  8. I too am interested in hearing how being the last one seen makes him tired and late on Tuesday. Will you answer that @zero?
  9. Maybe the coaches are doing it to see if the young man will step up and have a conversation with them about it? Not so they can assert their authority but to see if he has it in him to step up. Coaches are always looking for leaders, even if it's for 2-3 years down the road. If he's just being quiet and taking it on the chin, he might not be a leader they are looking for. Someone that will step up and start dialogue in a situation where they feel wronged could be a leader down the road.
  10. Jeez, if this was actually enforced we'd have flags on flags.
  11. I predict pain. Not on the kids but on us BGP members no matter the outcome.
  12. Fair enough. We thankfully have the ability to find out how RHS and SK match up later this season. Right now I think it's a coin flip but I do feel based on the bodies of work, SK gets the nod (although not by much). That doesn't mean I don't think Ryle comes out on top either.
  13. You have after SK losses the past few seasons.
  14. The refs are always terrible when you're getting beat.
  15. I'm talking yardage but you knew that. You just chose to ignore that part because then you would have to admit he was contained on those 15 carries. And good thing he could run it in from 3 and 5 yards out behind the bigger line.
  16. 15 carries 45 yards? Is that containment?
  17. I'm not disputing the fact that Scott whipped Dixie. So don't try to turn it that way.
  18. 1) You asked Clyde, not me. 2) Glad you finally acknowledged that Dixie contained him for the vast majority of his runs.
  19. So what part of 3 YAC on 15 of his 16 runs doesn't show containment? And yes, I know he had a run of 99 yards. He wasn't contained on that one. The other 15, yes he was contained. And before you ask, I did see the game.
  20. I think Ryle wins. Probably 2-3 touchdowns. Calling this game "almost a bye week" for Ryle or saying "game will be over 4 mins in" is pretty classless and disrespectful to Boone. Boone isn't going to hand the game to Ryle. They aren't going to lay down for the Raiders. Expect a dog fight. It's a rivalry game.
  21. One, I'm just pointing out that Scott did beat some pretty good teams in recent years so who is to say they can't do it again? Yes Dixie is down, but Scott played very well. If you were there, you would've seen that. Not many missed assignments by the Eagles' players. They have a solid line and their QB made good decisions. Defensively they applied pressure and kept the play in front which is what you want from a defense. And it's not fact (SK will beat them to death) until it happens. Maybe it will, but as of now it's opinion.
  22. Actually that is how stats work. You can look at them any way you'd like. You can look at all 16 carries and the yardage and be deceived about how successful he was, or you can do what Clyde did and realize that other than one big run (which was very nice), his stats aren't anything special.
